UK reports: The owner of a record label was
seriously hurt when she was accidentally shot in the neck by her son with
an air rifle. Jill Sinclair, who set up ZTT Records with her husband Trevor
Horn, was shot in the garden of their home near Henley, Oxfordshire, on
Sunday night.
A company spokesman said: "Purely accidentally
she took a pellet in the neck. She is stable but critical." [see full story

AP reports: The Supreme Court declined Monday
to hear a case involving a contract dispute between recording companies
over a hip-hop album by Ja Rule and other rappers.
Lawyers for TVT Records and TVT Music Inc.
asked justices to overturn a decision by the New York-based 2nd U.S. Circuit
Court of Appeals, which voided a $132 million jury verdict TVT was awarded
in its dispute with another recording company, the Island Def Jam Music

crowds at last weekend's (24-25JUN06) Gay Pride Pier Dance in New York
City by appearing as a surprise performer. The JENNY FROM THE BLOCK singer
appeared with some of the dancers from her new MTV reality show MOVES.
The show, shot in Los Angeles, gives a behind-the-scenes look at the lives
of real dancers trying to get their big break, all selected by Lopez herself.

antiMusic reports: All signs seem to indicate
that Korn will be on board when the Family Values Tour kicks off on July
27th. Jonathan Davis was recently hospitalized for the blood disorder immune
thrombocytopenic purpura but is home in Los Angeles recuperating and reportedly
his platelet count is back to normal after steroid treatment and rest.
He felt so good that he, along with Munky, dropped in on Kevin and Bean
at Los Angeles radio station KROQ last Friday for an impromptu unplugged
set and interview to promote the upcoming tour. You can listen to the interview

up a number of UK dates for later this year. The pop-punksters have asked
Say Anything to tag along. This tour will be in support of their forthcoming
album, Coming Home, which hits stores in September (and bargain bins next

Offfest Date |
antiMusic reports: He isn't playing all of
the Ozzfest dates this summer but strange as it sounds Ozzy Osbourne has
booked an Offfest date. Ozzy will be joined by Black Label Society, Atreyu
and Unearth for show at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Bonner Springs,
KS on July 14th. There is speculation this one-off came about as the result
of the killing of the Wisconsin Ozzfest show on that date. Promoters pulled
the plug on the Wisconsin Ozzfest after fans showed a lack of interest�
e.g. slow ticket sales.
Meanwhile, Ozzy has been added to more

EST. * Santa Cruz, California's eclectic and unclassifiable musical group
Estradasphere has signed with The End Records. The band will release their
fourth album titled 'Palace of Mirrors', on September 19th, 2006. * The
first appearance of a new Mushroomhead track will be is a demo called "Burn"
on a limited edition FYE sampler to be given away exclusively, with purchase
of two qualifying CD's, at FYE stores right now. Only 25,000 copies, so
hurry! * Sweden's traditional metallers WOLF have announced that Thomas
Holm (Mercyful Fate, King Diamond) will handle artwork duties for the band's
fourth album, 'The Black Flame.' * In conjunction with the release of their
debut LP, about-face, The Working Title will be leaking a new song on Pure
Volume every week 'till its release on 7/18... 4 new songs total. See full

Angel for several European dates this summer. * Madonna has failed to sell

a new album with a host of his high profile Hip Hop friends.
According to the Rolling Stone the rap
legend has returned to the studio even though he announced his retirement
three years ago.
The new album will feature appearances
from Kanye West, Scott Starch and Dr Dre who've all been recording tracks

Gigwise reports: Beck has revealed the first
details of his new album which is set for release this Autumn.
The multi-genre master of reinvention has
been working on the album for nearly three years alongside longtime collaborator
Nigel Goodrich. "Before we started, Nigel said he wanted to do a hip-hop
record. And in a way it is, and in a way it isn't. It has hip-hop songs,
and my previous work with him was Mutations and Seachange, these sort of
introspective records, and so this new one is sort of bringing those two
worlds together."

Blabbermouth reports: GMR Music has announced
plans to re-release the CANDLEMASS albums "Chapter VI" (1992) and "Dactylis
Glomerata" (1998) as double remastered discs.
"Chapter VI" will include the "Sjunger
Sigge Furst" EP as bonus tracks plus a live DVD disc and "Dactylis Glomerata"
will contain an entire previously unreleased album. Each reissue will be
sold for the price of a normal full-length CD. An early fall release is
