Punk Riot in So Cal
punkbands reports: An all-day concert at the National Orange Show Events Center ended in violence Saturday night when fighting broke out and escalated into a full-blown riot that left several injured. About 1,500 concert-goers spilled out onto the streets shortly before 9 p.m., smashing in business windows, throwing bottles, setting fires and thrashing parked cars.

The concert, known as British Invasion 2K6, began at seven hours earlier at 2 p.m. in the Orange Pavilion. Several witnesses said racial shouts from white supremacist and neo-Nazi groups spurred fighting during the show. The crowd of punk-rock fans seemed to become agitated when police and fire personnel tried to get through the venue to help a person who had been stabbed, said San Bernardino Police Sgt. Rick Lindsey.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Guns N Queen
antiMusic reports: There is a very good reason why the latest leaked Guns N' Roses song has a Queen vibe to it; the track includes a guest appearance from a member of the legendary group. Queen guitarist Brian May confirmed last week that he is the one heard playing lead guitar on song "Catcher in the Rye".

In an online journal entry May wrote, "'Catcher in the Rye' is a great track .. I was pretty surprised to find a mix of it in my inbox this week .... after all these years. I wonder who leaked this stuff. Yes, my guitar is there, nice and crisply recorded. It was a blast doing the sessions. I had flown out to LA specially to play on the record for Axl. I've sat on whatever I have or know about these songs ever since that moment .... out of respect for Axl .... confidentiality is part of respect for me. So I will watch with interest. I like the track a lot and always did ... and it still sounds very fresh ... the thing that hits you first is that incredible, incredible voice ... we've been missing it for far too long. Axl is magic."

Meanwhile, fans still wait for Axl to release that magic officially.

Blabbermouth reports: Blasting-Zone.com recently conducted and in-depth interview with legendary VENOM frontman Cronos.

Cronos:... One of the things that has been getting' talked about is a tour of the States with VENOM, SLAYER and EXODUS. How cool would that be? When people start talkin' about things like that, things they haven't seen in forever, we're just like, 'Get SLAYER on the phone so we can set it up'"

Blasting-Zone.com: I think that tour would do very, very well

Cronos: "I do believe so. We could even see if METALLICA wanted to open for us. Actually, we couldn't do that because they're crap (laughs). I think they need to take the word 'metal' out of the name."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
