Blabbermouth reports: On Sunday, May 21, 2006,
an estimated 2,000 motorcyclists will join Dee Snider (radio personality
and lead singer of TWISTED SISTER) and the March of Dimes in the fight
against premature birth at Dee Snider's fourth annual Bikers for Babies
Ride. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Nassau Veterans Memorial
Coliseum on Hempstead Turnpike in Uniondale and the bikers will hit the

TuneLab reports: Sources close to Metallica
have told Launch that the band will not play any U.S. shows this Summer.
Sources say that the band will enter the studio in July with producer Rick
Rubin (SOAD, Slipknot, Audioslave) to begin recording their ninth album.

Prosthetic reports: Just confirmed for the
prestigious 8th Annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival are another
group of Prosthetic Records artists: Boston neo-thrashers Cannae, Bay Area
thrash revivalists Light This City, and South Carolina's death metal machine
Through The Eyes Of The Dead. These three bands are the latest to be confirmed
for the three-day festival, joining the already announced scheduled appearances
of Massacusetts' The Acacia Strain, West Virginia's forward-thinking Byzantine,
and Sweden's Wolf, bringing the current Prosthetic total up to six bands.
ESP Guitars and Krank Amps present the
8th Annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival Friday, April 28 - Sunday,
April 30 at the Palladium in Worcester, Mass. Prosthetic Records is one
of the festival's many sponsors, and is proud to be sponsoring the action
from second stage. Friday tickets are available for $35, while Saturday
and Sunday individual tickets are $40. Three day passes are available for

Day in Rock reports: Recent rumors have been
addressed on the official Tool website. Topics covered include bogus tracklistings
and album titles. Part of Thursday's update reads "The new release is NOT
Lateralus II, and the track listings reflect an altogether different mood.
In the Kerrang ? interview (excerpts of which have been posted on the internet),
Danny is quoted as saying 'This is our blues record. We're singing the
blues.' (NOTE: you might recall that in the January newsletter, Obelisong,
the spirit evoked during a Ouija Board Working, when asked what the name
of the vocalist in the band was, replied BLUES BIALO, meaning blues voice.)
Keeping this in mind, the actual track listings are far more - how should
I put it - down to earth than 'Laiad Kayenth', 'Paramnesia', 'Luminesce
Kaon' and other 'painted sepulchers, and any would-be 'Cagliostros' out
there might want to factor this in (as opposed to using Lateralus as a
template) when concocting any future bogus titles to disseminate on the

PR reports: HIGH ON FIRE continue its extensive
road-work for their critically acclaimed release Blessed Black Wings later

Day in Rock reports: Tyrese Gibson's new action-thriller,
Waist Deep, staring Meagan Good, Larenz Tate and The Game will hit theatres
on Friday, June 23, 2006.
Synopsis: An urban action thriller with
a sexy 21st-century Bonnie and Clyde. Ex-con O2 (Tyrese Gibson) is suddenly
plunged into a life-or-death situation; trying to go straight for the sake
of his young son Junior, O2 is forced to go back outside the law when Junior
is kidnapped in a carjacking. His son is now in the hands of a vicious
criminal leader, Meat (hip-hop superstar The Game). O2's shady cousin Wanna
Be (Larenz Tate) is caught between loyalties, and so the only person who
can or will help O2 now is wily street-smart hustler Coco (Meagan. Good).
With the clock ticking down, the heat between them rises as they become
a lawbreaking couple, on an action-packed tear through town to save Junior
and outwit the underworld.
