Crucified Barbara US Release
Black & White PR reports: Liquor and Poker Music has set a May 30 U.S. release date for "In Distortion We Trust," the debut full-length by Sweden's Crucified Barbara. The all-female quartet, who have been called a cross between Motorhead and The Runaways, will be touring Europe throughout the spring and the summer.

On its overdue North American release, "In Distortion We Trust" features one bonus track - a blistering cover of Motorhead's "Killed By Death" - as well as music videos for each of the group's three singles released in their home country. And even though English isn't their native tongue, it's clear they've mastered the language on songs like "My Heart Is Black," when vocalist Coldheart issues a warning-cum-mission statement: Life's a bitch, and so am I, you see / I dedicate my love to a Flying V.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Skye Media reports: Chicago-based musician Ike Reilly plays himself [in] James' Marsh's forthcoming film "The King" and shot his scenes for the movie in Austin, Texas in the summer of 2004. Tipton on Priest Reunion, Next CD will Be Surprising
antiMusic reports: antiMusic's Morley Seaver recently spoke with Glenn Tipton about his two recent releases Baptizm of Fire and Edge of the World. Glenn spoke about working with John Entwistle and Cozy Powell on Edge as well as working with Shannon Larkin, Billy Sheehan, Robert Trujillo, Neil Murray and Don Airey on Baptizm and how he approaches his solo work differently than Judas Priest. But they also touched upon how the Judas Priest reunion came about and what they plan next. Here is an excerpt.

antiMUSIC: Before you go, I just have to ask. Were you surprised at the reception given to Angel of Retribution?

Glenn Tipton: It was fantastic. It was very special when we reunited. And I'll never forget the day we did it. We were at Rob's in England. We had no intention of discussing the reunion. It just cropped up and before you knew it, we had reunited. When we started to write, you know it's magical when we write because we don't really know what we're going to come up with. But what we decided to doobviously there was a big expectation after 14 years. People, even if you did something really good, can be disappointed, because they're over-anticipating. So we decided to take the pressure off us because the whole world was watching us. The whole metal world anyway. And we just decided to enjoy. And we did that. We'd get together and just kick ideas around until the room lit up and we just enjoyed ourselves. And I think that comes across with Angel of Retribution. It's a comfortable album. It retraces steps from back away but it has some new things in there as well. It's very much vintage Priest.

antiMUSIC: Can you see the next record being very much in that same vein?

Glenn Tipton: Well, we're going to start writing this month so we've all got our ideas together. We always get our individual ideas together first and then we pool them. I have a feeling that our next record will surprise everybody. I think it's going to be something special (*you can almost see the sly grin through the phone).
