Axl
Spitting Mad |
Rockdirt reports: The New York Post reports
Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose was tolerating a drunken fan's line of questioning
until some spittle from the guy's mouth landed on his eye contacts. "Axl
started yelling, 'My [bleep]ing eyes! My contacts," a witness said. "He
became irate. He ran out of the club with one eye closed and knocked over
Stephon Marbury on his way out the door. He left his whole entourage behind."

Bolan Tapes |
Contact Music reports: A stash of unreleased
MARC BOLAN recordings have come to light, after a former studio receptionist
handed them to the late rocker's son ROLAN. The tapes were snapped up by
the employee at Air London Studios when the music mecca was due to close
down, as she feared the rare glam rock tracks would be lost forever. She
subsequently vowed to give them to Rolan, now 29, when he was at an age
when he could appreciate them. Rolan, who plans to release them next year
(07) in honour of his late dad[see full story for more]-

at" being a villain if he wanted to get anywhere. And MCLaren, who has
been described "evil" by his former protege JOHN LYDON, claims his gran

captured The Black Crowes performing five sold-out nights at San Francisco's
historic Fillmore Auditorium for the band's first-ever DVD Freak N' Roll

Fermata
Debut |
Just Rock PR reports: Los Angeles Rock/Alternative
band FERMATA announces the imminent release of their new 6-track EP "Vessel",
for release on L.A.'s Doughmain Records. Produced by Mark Renk (Matchbook
Romance, Panic At The Disco) and mixed by Fred Archambault (Avenged Sevenfold,
Death By Stereo, Eighteen Visions), this recording marks the band's debut
on a whole new level of musicianship and care for their craft.
Named for the mark in music theory meaning
"stop" or "hold" over a note, FERMATA has seemingly done nothing of the
sort, as is demonstrated by their increasingly momentous list of performances
alongside artists like The Vandals, Kottonmouth Kings, Alien Ant Farm and
Prong. Enlisting the help of Shane Drake (Fall Out Boy, Hawthorne Heights,
Halifax, Poison The Well, etc.) for a brand new video to coincide with
the release, FERMATA is well armed for their full U.S. tour which launches
April 1st[see full story for more]- Click

Danko
Jones |
Razor & Tie reports: Danko Jones' new
release "Sleep is the Enemy," out on Razor & Tie May 23rd.
Described by Revolver as "swaggering rock
n' roll that has no time for sensitivity-training courses or painfully
earnest emotions" and by MAXIM as "like AC/DC sniffing glue with Motley
Crue," Danko Jones have constructed a brand of muscular yet melodic rock
n' roll that have critics from Vice to SPIN singing their praises.
And with "Sleep is the Enemy" Danko Jones
are poised for even further worldwide recognition. The album has already
charted in seven countries, reaching # 8 in Sweden and debuting at # 69
on Canada's Top 200. And U.S. audiences are eager for a follow up to "We
Sweat Blood's" single "Lovercall," which became a request line hit and
led to tours with International Noise Conspiracy, Sahara Hotnights, and
The Hives.[Can't wait? They will also have the digital only 'First Date'
EP in April. see full story for more]- Click
