(Fanscape) Tom DeLonge (guitar/vocals, formerly of blink-182 and Box Car Racer), David Kennedy (Guitar, Box Car Racer), Atom Willard (drums, formerly of The Offspring) and Ryan Sinn (bass, formerly of The Distillers) have teamed up to create a brand-new band, Angels And Airwaves, the overriding theme of which certainly stays true to the bands name. "The overall message on every AVA song," Tom recently told Kerrang! Magazine, "is that tomorrow could be the best day of your life." The debut release from Angels And Airwaves, We Dont Need to Whisper (Suretone/Geffen), is slated for a May 23, 2006 release. Powered by muscular beats, lean guitars and Tom's own take on life, the songs range from apocalyptic to anthemic. Of We Dont Need to Whispers first single, The Adventure, Tom recently said, "It's got big programmed beats, a big crescendo and the guitar riffing people expect of me but it sounds like it comes from the future."
