(Faded Youth) So, as everyone knows, fallen American Idol Clay Aiken has been embroiled in a gay sex scandal involving some alleged online cruising for sex while on tour in Boston. After the news got out, Claymates everywhere were devastated. Nine former fans, listing themselves as aggrieved consumers, filed a FTC complaint against recording companies RCA and SONY/BMG for false advertising and misrepresentation in the marketing and promotion of Aiken. Weeks later, when A.I. guru Simon Cowell was asked about the scandal on Larry King Live, the British judge with the sharp tongue dismissed the claims calling them "crazy." Well now, those former Clay Aiken fans have issued a response to Simon's comments on the CNN program. Check it out: We are grateful that the merits of our complaint will be heard by the FTC instead of a pretend judge from a televised talent show. We have been dismayed to see our complaint characterized in the media as homophobic. That is not our intention and while central to our complaint it is regrettable that Mr. Aiken's sexuality has come under scrutiny. You obviously haven't done any research into this story, just copied it. The FTC threw out the complaint filed by nine "fake" fans trying to smear Aiken. There will be no lawsuit. It's irresponsible journalism at it's worst. The fanbase is stronger than ever and looking forward to Aiken's new cd. Get a life.

I think it's great somebody is finally coming out with the truth. These fans felt duped because they were led to believe someone they were encouraged to spend their hard earned money on wasn't that someone he was portrayed to be.Multiple Cd buying so that he would sell mega Cds. Buying up extra concert tickets to donate to people so that empty concert seats would be filled and the concert wouldn't look like a complete failure. The use of a charity foundation is a great way to get money as well. I am happy those fans came forward to tell their side. There is a lot that they haven't said. Hey, maybe one of them could write a book and expose the goings on in the Claymate fan base. I know I would love a copy. :-)

I wish these 9 women would get a life! They're a group of frustrated and judgemental women that Mr. Aiken does not need in his fandom anyways. Most of Clay's fans love him unconditionally. His actions in the past speak much louder than malicious gossip. Clay is here to stay and I'm extremely proud to be his fan.We're all looking forward to his new CD and promotional summer tour.

I enjoy Clay's music and his sexual preference has nothing to do with anything..I for one, do not think he is gay..but it wouldn't matter to me if he was...I don't believe they are fans of Clay at all...I think they are fans of someone who has a grudge against Clay or is jealous of the way people love him and support him... They are LOSERS...who obviously didn't get enough attention from mommy and daddy...

Apparently these fans have nothing better to do. He is a singer not the next candidate on THE BACHELOR. Those fans should be ashamed of themselves. They're probably fat, ugly, or a combo of both and live in a dream world. Instead of living in fantasy land, they ought to stop binging and go get some exercise.
