(Peta) Still riding high on the success of their critically acclaimed sophomore release, The Minstrel Show, Phonte and Big Pooh, two of the talents behind the hip-hop trio Little Brother, recently took time out of their busy nationwide touring schedule to sit down for an exclusive interview with the folks at peta2, PETA’s Youth Division. Nowadays, these North Carolina natives aren’t just liking life—they’re “Lovin’ It.” After all, Little Brother is being hailed as among hip-hop’s most provocative and ingenious groups. Proving that their hearts are as big as their talent, Phonte and Big Pooh were eager to give some “brotherly” advice to their fans about going vegetarian and caring for cats and dogs.[see full story for more] - Click here for the Full Story

Ha! Check out the *REAL* beliefs of Little Brother about PETA, instead of more of PETA's lies and mischaracterizations:

Phonte had some less than kind words for PETA on the group’s My Space page:
I don't endorse them niggas IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM…
Basically, me and Pooh went for a while where we had both stopped eating meat…and while we were vegetarian, PETA asked us to do an interview at the Rock The Bells festival….niggas was like, 'Cool…."
We ain't know them niggas was gon' run the sh*t TWO YEARS LATER after niggas done fell off the wagon……didn't they read my waing blog?
Plus, my problems with PETA run waaaaay deeper than that. To me, they come across as rich white folk who are privileged enough to fight a 'struggle' that the average everyday working person could really give a f*** about. Meat is murder? Get the f*** outta here with that bullsh*t! Meat ain't murder, it’s what's for dinner! Plus, any organization that attempts to compare animal abuse to HUMAN SLAVERY can eat a d*ck…..for real.

If you want to get twisted and out of context information from a group that is funded by industries that torture and kill millions of animals a year for profit (the meat, dairy and vivesection industries)and that's sole purpose is to try to discredit organizations that speak out against cruelty to animals, then go ahead and listen to Red Ryderz inane little post.
But if you would prefer an accurate portrayal of PETA and other organizations, like the Humane Society and the ASPCA, that have the unfortunate jobs of providing a humane death to animals that would otherwise die slowly and miserably on the streets or live out their entire lives in tiny, barren cages, then please check out http://www.helpinganimals.com/f-nc.asp

I wonder why Little Brother doesn't protest against PETA, since PETA crams dozens of puppies and kittens into tiny cages in the back of traveling vans, slaughter the poor animals, then throw the cute little puppy/kitty corpses into trash bins hidden away from the, media's cameras of course. Why is Little Brother supporting the slaughter of adoptable puppies and kittens?
