DMB's Toss Em All Outta Office Tour
PR reports: Dave Matthews Band, O.A.R., and former members of Phish and the Grateful Dead are among the artists participating in the "Midterms Matter Tour," a multi-city voter registration campaign staged this summer by the non-profit, nonpartisan organization HeadCount.

HeadCount registered nearly 50,000 voters in 2004, more than any all-volunteer group in the United States. This year, the organization aims to bring voter participation back to the forefront by reminding young people that "Midterms Matter," referring to the midterm elections in which one-third of the Senate and all seats in the House of Representatives are up for re-election.[see full story for dates, details and who will be playing. We can guess by who is taking part in this who they want you to vote for but antiMusic is truly non-partisan so we created that headline to send our clear message that ALL career politicians need to go! Right, left or center they all suck right now. So if your incumbent has a primary challenger vote for them if you want to stir things up. Otherwise, it will be the same old, same old no matter which "party" runs things. But if you need a rock band to motivate you to register to vote, please stay home. You are part of the problem! ]- Click Here for the Full Story

Tour Off Your Clothes Tour
PR reports: Why do so many people end up liberated from their clothes at Morningwood shows? The band probes this question as they headline a summer "Tour Off Your Clothes Tour," a reference to their strip-tastic anthem, "Take Off Your Clothes."

The tour kicks off June 13th in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with support from Rock Kills Kid, among others. While on the East Coast, the band will perform on "The Late Show with David Letterman" on June 21st. Then Morningwood will wrap up the tour on the West Coast in mid-July, but before jetting off to the U.K. and Japan they'll open for the Go-Go's at Los Angeles' Greek Theatre on July 14th.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Chris Daughtry Live
antiMusic reports: We got in a half a dozen press releases today about this. So it's gotta be important right? If you are one of the Americans that had better things to do than watch the American Idol finale (like watching your grass grow etc), the performance of "Mystery" with the band Live and Chris Daughtry (the man many felt was robbed of the American Idol title - he's lucky, look what Clive did to Bo!) is available online at the full story link.

Live's latest album Songs From Black Mountain is available now digitally for download, and will hit stores in CD from on June 6th. If you just gotta see Live live they will begin a headline tour of Europe in June followed by a tour of the U.S. and Canada in July with dates to be announced shortly. As for Chris Daughtry's next move? We'll have to wait and see but his debut will more than likely blow any "official" Idol release away as long as the Idol people aren't part of it. - Click Here for the Full Story

Rock n Women: Benedictum
antiMusic reports: Benedictum is a relatively new band, although their members are veterans of the San Diego music scene. Their newly released debut record Uncreation is beginning to get a lot of attention. As well, they've just been tapped to open the Gods of Metal show in Italy this summer, a show headlined by Guns N' Roses and Alice in Chains.

Uncreation is a powerful record with a strong set of 11 songs like "Two Steps to the Sun", "Wicca" and the title track. The music is accented by the extraordinary vocals of Veronica Freeman which are very Dio-esque. In fact, the band has two Sabbath covers on here. Morley spoke with Veronica about how the covers came about and a lot of other topics. It's a great interview and killer introduction to a new metal band that seems to be going places. Here is a little of what she had to say about the Sabbath covers:

antiMusic: How was the decision made to cover two Sabbath cuts?

Veronica Freeman: It wasn't (laughs). I'm glad you asked that one. I was singing some Dio stuff obviously for a while and I already went into this whole recording process knowing we wanted "Heaven and Hell" to be one of the tracks on the actual album. And just before the recording process was up and we were out of money and out of time and all of that, the label wanted a bonus track. So we were going to do "Rainbow in the Dark" and we had a chance to work with Jimmy Bain so we thought we'll do something we all know. We only had a couple of days to do this and we had to do it in San Diego. So we'll throw something together real fast. Long story short, we get to San Diego and we do our thing and we had enough time to do one more song, so we did "Mob Rules". When we heard the play back of "Rainbow in the Dark", it just wasn't happening. It just laid there. And "Mob Rules" came out a lot better. It was always supposed to be on a limited version digipack and unbeknownst to us, the next thing you know the CD isactually the actual CD end result one is out and it has that on there so we weren't real pleased about that at first because I thought it was a little much to do too. We didn't want to do it that way. We thought it was cool as a bonus track but not as part of the actually album. So what's done is done. We can't take it back. But it was not our decision.
