Kanye Hissy Fit
DiR reports: And the award for biggest ego goes to….. Kanye West!

And the award for the sorest loser goes to… Kanye West

And the award for most overrated artist in 50 years goes to…. Kanye West

And the Award for best video according to MTV Europe goes to… Justice and Simian for "We Are Your Friends." Houston we have a problem, or at least Kanye did. When the winner of this award was announced last week at the MTV Europe music awards, West had a bit of fit, reportedly jumped up on stage as the REAL WINNERS were receiving their honor and launched into a tirade about why he deserved the award for his "Touch The Sky" video.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Hall of Jovi
DiR reports: It appears the Hall of Fame UK voters seem to think that Bon Jovi is on par with James Brown, Led Zeppelin, Brian Wilson, Rod Stewart, Dusty Springfield and Sir George Martin. Johnny Rzeznik, oops Jon Bon Jovi (sorry the haircut confused us), and his crew of the cowboys on steel horses will be inducted into the UK Hall of Fame on Monday November 13th by Dave Stewart and Kara DioGuardi of Platinum Weird, according to Noble PR.

It's doubtful that they will perform one of their biggest hits with the following amended lyrics… "Ooh we're half way there…. Ooh ooh, living off our hair!". But you never know. Congrats to the Jersey boys, the music industry couldn't have survived without your noble contributions. - Click Here for the Full Story

A statement released by the band claims "we are going on an indefinite hiatus after December. We have already talked about the future and recording another album, which we all agreed we want to do eventually."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Sound vibrations stream from the bristles through your teeth - so you can actually hear music inside your head! To increase the volume, simply increase your brushing pressure! The better you brush, the better the sound! [Gene is rumored to be working on KISS tampons that will play two minutes of "Lick it Up"]- Click Here for the Full Story

06 Version of a Fruit Cake?
DiR reports: Usually pop singers wait and album or two to cash in on a xmas album, not so with the driving miss Lohan's little sis. Thus this blurb we were sent [they suggested we add it to our holiday guide]…. On November 21st, YMC Records and Lindsay's little sis, Ali Lohan, are kicking off the Christmas season with the release of her debut album, Lohan Holiday. Showing off her talent and sleigh full of holiday-themed songs that celebrate her love of the Christmas season, Lohan Holiday is sure to bring tidings of joy with an infectious and up-beat album that features the hit single "I Like Christmas" and classic songs such as "Deck The Halls," "Jingle Bells" and "Silent Night." … In related news, CD sales continue to plummet and the industry scratches it's collective head wondering why and blaming it on MP3s… - Click Here for the Full Story

Coheed and Cambria Split
punkbands reports: Alternative Press have received official word that Mic Todd (bass) and Josh Eppard (drums) have left Coheed and Cambria for personal reasons. The band's frontman Claudio Sanchez told the magazine:

"For me, it's kind of hard to say exactly why [they're out of the band]. There were moments where it felt like it could've been creative differences and, maybe just a dislike of touring [on their part]. I think that's really what's brought us to this moment. It started off this summer with Josh giving us a call and saying, 'I can't do this tour.' And, ya know, we couldn't really call it a tour if we didn't get that call. He would always say he couldn't do it. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Thrice Concept
punkbands reports: Thrice are making speedy progress on their upcoming 4-disc spanning concept album series, having recently finished up sessions for the "earth" volume of the series: "We closed out the Earth sessions yesterday with the tracking of “Come All You Weary.” That song ended up being the only song on Earth with any kind of non-acoustic instrument or a full drumset. I tried my best at getting Ri his “big John Bonham” drum sound in our pathetically tiny room, but I think it turned out ok. It’s fun sometimes having limitations because you’re forced to find creative ways to break them.

So we officially started the Water sessions today by starting work on a track with the working title “Open Water”.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Victory Vs Virgin
Billboard reports: Victory Records has sued Virgin Records and EMI Music North America for interfering with its contractual relationship with the band HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS. Victory claims that the major-label "poached" the band from the indie even though the group still had two more records to deliver under its contract.

In the suit filed yesterday (Nov. 2) in the federal District Court in Chicago, Victory alleges that the band was happy with the indie until Virgin executives convinced them to sign with the major. The band then hired a national litigation law firm and a public relations company [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
