from a newsletter] A HUGE thanks to everyone who braved the extreme heat
of the venue and had their faces melted for the DVD shoot on October 8
in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands. People came from all over Europe, the UK
(and even the States!) to be a part of the first-ever Y&T DVD! Thank
you for making it a FANTASTIC show!
The DVD will be released in late spring/early
summer 2007. Check the web site often for "sneak preview" clips of the
upcoming DVD. And be sure to check out the Discussion Forum from time to

thetripwire reports: Those of you keeping
tabs on Joseph Arthur know that he is playing tonight at Southpaw for CMJ.
If you are one of the few that couldn't make it out for this year's marathon
then you are in luck because Joseph and his Lonely Astronaut crew added
a few more tour dates to his national tour. Originally the tour was going
to end with CMJ, but a few dates were added in Sellersville, Akron and
Los Angeles. Better get your tickets quick!

Bad Rap Over 'Prop' |
CNN reports: Rap artist "Snoop Dogg" was charged
Thursday with one felony count of knowingly possessing a deadly weapon
-- a collapsible baton -- while trying to board a plane in California,
authorities in Orange County said.
In a statement, a spokeswoman for Snoop
Dogg -- whose real name is Calvin Broadus -- said he denies the charges
brought against him by the Orange County District Attorney and called the

The Grand Delusion: The Unauthorized True Story of Styx. The self-published
book is set for publication December 12, 2006 and will be available through

Heaven on the Road To Ruin |
PR reports: Metal Heaven Records has inked
a deal with ROAD TO RUIN, the Swedish band consisting of Matti Alfonzetti
(vocals; JAGGED EDGE, THE POODLES, SKINTRADE), Lars Chriss (guitar; LION'S
SHARE); Sampo Axelsson (bass and keyboards; GLENN HUGHES, LION'S SHARE),
and Thomas Broman (drums; GREAT KING RAT, JOHN NORUM, GLENN HUGHES).
ROAD TO RUIN was founded in the year 2005
when guitarist Chriss and Axelsson started to write some material which
didn't fit their melodic metal band LION'S SHARE. The group is currently
putting the finishing touches on its self-titled debut album, which will
follow a classic '70s and '80s hard rock vein (ala WHITESNAKE, RAINBOW,
THIN LIZZY). The recordings were produced by Chriss, Axelsson and Alfonzetti
