van Gogh Fall Out
punkbands reports: The new Fall Out Boy album is called Infinity on High, Wentz told MTV News late Monday night. "It's taken from a quote by Vincent van Gogh. And as for what that means in relation to the record, we'll just let it will unfold when people hear it."

The title is taken from a letter written by van Gogh to his brother Theo in 1888, in which he describes his renewed health and the vigor it has instilled in his painting. Van Gogh's exact phrasing has been translated as both "Be clearly aware of the stars and infinity on high. Then life seems almost enchanted after all," and "And all the same to feel the stars and the infinite high and clear above you. Then life is almost enchanted after all."- Click Here for the Full Story

Alter Hype for Altered State
PR reports: Tired of puffed up indie bands who promise original and edgy sounds but who only deliver artificial hype and overcooked fluff? Then it’s time to Get Real with Altered State, the cheeky foursome from Saskatchewan whose catchy hooks and rock-purist, kick-ass beats have been all the rage on radio everywhere from their home country all across the Americas—all in advance of the official Feb. 6 release of Get Real, which will be distributed in the U.S. by Morada Music.

Not since Chrissie Hynde fondled the brass in her pocket has a three guy group with a fiery and charismatic female lead singer (Lorna Dowell, unafraid to declare that “I Need A Vacation” while exposing her “Skeletons In The Closet”) kicked up this much punky pop/rock dust. The signed holiday cards come replete with envelopes in packs of either five for $15 or ten for $25. The cards may be purchased at both Taking Back Sunday's official website www.takingbacksunday.com and on Merchdirect's site starting Thursday, November 16th. Only a very limited run of 3,000 cards will be printed. Last year's edition of cards sold out quickly - within just a few weeks.- Click Here for the Full Story
