Q&A: Sparta |
antiMusic reports: This week we speak to the
one and only Jim Ward of Sparta about their brand new album ('Threes'),
their new record deal and all other things new for the group.
2&2: One thing that your fans love
about you is that with every album you seem to evolve musically. Is that
intentional on your part or is it just the natural progression for you?
** Jim Ward: we try to grow as we go on, it is really my mission in
life to be a good song writer, I enjoy the process so much, each record
is a reflection of the years in between the last one
2&2:You guys have made some big
changes since your last album, so we have a couple questions about that.
Keeley Davis had some pretty big shoes to fill, how did hook up with the
group? And what has he brought to the mix? ** Jim Ward:we knew Keeley
from his old band, engine down, he came in and totally gave a new brightness
to the band, he is a great guy and an amazing writer, he has really helped
me grow as a writer as well, he has brought a new layer to the sound for
sure. [see full story for more Q&A with Jim and pick up the new CD

Racist
Kanye? |
pr-inside reports: Rapper KANYE WEST has stirred
up another controversy regarding race after making comments about the offspring
of racially mixed couples.
West made headlines when he declared that
US PRESIDENT GEORGE W BUSH didn't care about black people during a telethon
raising funds for Hurricane Katrina victims.
And the GOLD DIGGER singer has caused a
stir again in the January (07) issue of Essence magazine by commenting
on bi-racial babies. He says, "If it wasn't for race mixing there'd be
no video girls. Me and most of our friends like mutts a lot. Yeah, in the
hood we call 'em mutts!"- Click

Aiken
Vs Ripa |
TMZ reports: Snippy Clay Aiken co-hosted Friday's
"Live With Regis and Kelly," and Miss Ripa was clearly unhappy with the
moptop Idol contestant's attitude. The road got rocky when they played
a clip of Kelly impersonating Aiken on Halloween a few years ago ... from
there on, Clay got into the mud.
Ripa claims that Aiken was hostile toward
her and feels that he wasn't "respectful in any way." Tensions ran high
throughout the taping, but Clay pissed off the talk diva when he put his
hands over her mouth to try to keep her from talking while interviewing
"Dancing With The Stars" winners Cheryl Burke and Emmit Smith. Ms. Ripa
was not amused, and let Clay know that he had crossed a line by touching
her million-dollar cakehole. "Oh that's a no-no... I don't know where your
hands have been." She has a point. [there is more, see the full story for
