Queen Vs MySpace
blabbermouth.net reports: World Entertainment News Network reports that QUEEN guitarist Brian May has threatened three bogus bloggers on MySpace with violence if they continue to impersonate him. The veteran musician, whose official web site is BrianMay.com, has also demanded the Brian May chatroom on the popular web site be closed down to prevent fans from being hoaxed.

"Right now I'm feeling more and more powerless, and depressed about the way the Internet is going," May posted on his real web site last Thursday. "It seems nothing is protectable anymore. The Internet seems to have made it easy for any git to pretend he is someone else.

"Just so you know, folks, once and for all, there IS NO Brian May page on MYSPACE...NOR WILL THERE EVER BE ONE...I am completely disgusted that the organizers of this site exert no sense of responsibility to check that people are who they say they are."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Fake Ozzy Rapist
blabbermouth.net reports: Australia's The Daily Telegraph reports that a man drugged and sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl because he believed he was rock star Ozzy Osbourne and had to follow in his footsteps, a Sydney court was told today (August 31).

Arthur Fairwell, 39, is facing a sentencing hearing in the NSW District Court, where he has pleaded guilty to six charges over the assault of the girl and the drugging of her and her mother. Making submissions on sentence today, defence barrister Greg Scragg told the court Fairwell had discussed his mental state at the time of the offenses with a forensic psychiatrist.

"My client had come to form the belief he was Ozzy Osbourne, the lead singer in the heavy metal rock group known as BLACK SABBATH," Mr. Scragg said.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

The lawsuit was launched back in December and claims that the labels falsely classified some copies of Beatles albums as faulty, but went on to sell them. Impersonator of Mudd
blabbermouth.net reports: Ozzy isn't the only one being impersonated these days. But with this story we have a case of impersonating the impersonator. That's right, someone is impersonating a former member of a band that made it by impersonating the music of other bands. Blabbermouth has the story:

MJI Interactive reports that police in Illinois are searching for a man who has been assaulting women while pretending to be former PUDDLE OF MUDD guitarist Paul Phillips. The man allegedly threatened two different females, one of whom he held at gunpoint, while claiming he was the rocker. "I've seen some crazy things . . . had a lot of weird experiences, but nothing like somebody impersonating me," said the real Phillips, who recently left PUDDLE OF MUDD to form the band OPERATOR.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
