Buckcherry Child Porn?
KNAC reports: A lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court alleges that Warner Music Group, Atlantic Records and other music industry organizations helped coerce a 16-year-old girl into making pornographic rock videos when a band advertised for extras on MySpace.

The suit, filed Thursday, alleges that Buckcherry asked fans to show up at Hollywood's Key Club in October. The plaintiff, a minor identified as Jane Doe who was living in Southern California, was allegedly given alcohol to drink and filmed exposing her breasts, kissing another female and writhing against a pole while Buckcherry performed the song Crazy Bitch.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Van Halen Cures Cancer
KNAC reports: Eddie Van Halen called in to Howard Stern's program on the Sirius satellite radio service on Friday (September 8th), and he dropped a couple of major bombshells. After saying he was free of the cancer that led to tongue surgery a few years ago, the guitarist said that he and a partner had developed a treatment that cured his cancer, though he wouldn't reveal what it contains. As for how he got cancer in the first place, Van Halen denied it was from smoking, which he has never stopped, and he claimed the disease might have come from the metal guitar pick he used.

On a different topic, Van Halen made the slightly less amazing announcement that a reunion with original lead singer David Lee Roth isn't out of the question[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Diddy Vs Diddy
hecklerspray reports: Sean Combs changes his name all the sodding time. In fact, since you woke up Sean Combs has gone by the name of Diddy, Doddy, Doo-Doo, Danglebum, Dinkledrawers and Rao Maldeo Rathore.

With all this prolific name changing, it was only a matter of time before Sean Combs stepped on someone's toes. And now it's finally happened - Diddy has been banned from calling himself Diddy in the UK because a man who once remixed a Blondie song 12 years ago is already called Diddy. Undeterred, Sean Combs is still planning on releasing his new single Come To Me in the UK under the assumed name Barry Manilow, since he's mostly sure that nobody by that name has ever existed.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Legal Mash Mess
music.tinfoil reports: The producer of a mashup album that combined the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds and the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club band has been threatened with a multi-million-dollar lawsuit by EMI, the Beatles' music publisher. EMI has also demanded that he turn over the IP addresses of the hundreds of thousands of people who downloaded the mash-ups, presumably so that EMI can sue all of us, too.

The mashups were released by the fictitious band "The Beachles," as part of a notional album called Sgt. Petsounds, and they were a kind of noise-rock experiment in mixing up the two seminal albums (both albums are known for their own use of "found sound" and mashup techniques). Faces Reunion?
pr-inside reports: ROD STEWART is harbouring plans to reform 1970s supergroup THE FACES for the first time in 30 years after previously turning down offers to reteam with KENNEY JONES and RON WOOD.

The group have performed briefly at rare awards shows, leading fans to hope the get-togethers would inspire the old bandmates to team up for a full tour.

But despite efforts by keyboard player IAN McLAGAN, Jones and Wood, the STAY WITH ME rockers simply couldn't commit to anything firm, but now it appears Stewart is on board for a reunion show. He says, "It'd be great to put the band together for charity, a one-off event. Ronnie is always up for it, so's Ian and Kenney. We'd just need to find ourselves a bass player."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
