9 Years of antiMusic: Pantera Vs N Sync
Day in Rock reports: It was nine years ago this month that our sister site Rocknworld.com was launched. So to celebrate 9 years of antiMusic we'll be looking back at some of our most popular articles since the beginning. We kick things off with a fun article from March of 2000 that captivated almost a million readers. We are talking about the great Pantera Vs N Sync war! Here is a snippet of antiGuy's report: Pantera fans are in an all out war against 'NSYNC. No, they are not bashing young teenage girls upside their heads. What they are doing is mobilizing to position Pantera ahead of 'NSYNC where it counts the most, in album sales.

Here is the deal. Pantera's long awaited new album is going to be released on March 21st. That's the same day as 'NSYNC's new cd "No Strings Attached" comes out. Now Pantera's street team is making a full frontal assault encouraging metal heads to join the fight by buying the new Pantera album the first week of release. They want to show the world that music is not dominated by boy bands, and metal is alive and well. The ultimate goal? To "KILL THE TREND". [You can read the original article at the full story link and discover how much emo fans have in common with boybanders with the fan comments!]- Click Here for the Full Story

Contact Music reports: SLIPKNOT drummer JOEY JORDISON is set to join KORN for the summer (07) after announcing he'll replace Terry Bozzio for the group's upcoming tour. Former Frank Zappa drummer Bozzio quit the group last month (Mar07), leaving Korn a man down as they planned their Family Values tour in North America and a series of festival shows in Europe. But frontman Jonathan Davis couldn't be happier with his new bandmate: "Joey is the s**t! We can't wait to rock onstage with him this summer." Meanwhile, Jordison adds, "I'm lucky to have had the opportunity to perform with bands that have influenced me as a musician over the years.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

hecklerspray.com reports: Hey kids, remember Des'ree? If you do remember Des'ree we're sure it's only a vague recollection - unlike Beyonce, who remembers Des'ree so much that she covered one of her songs for her newest album and is now getting sued for it.

When Beyonce decided to repackage her six-month-old album B'Day to [screw over her fans for cash] give her fans something special and new, she thought that covering old Des'ree track I'm Kissing You would be a sound idea. And it would have been, had Beyonce thought to properly get clearance for the song. Which she didn't. And now Des'ree wants revenge, either by suing Beyonce for $150,000 or by challenging her to the ultimate R&B challenge - seeing who wail the American national anthem in the most preposterously overblown way at some godforsaken sporting event.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
