Launch reports: Pete Doherty has been approached to star in a reality TV show about rock stars fighting drug addiction, according to reports. 

The Babyshambles star, who is the focus of tawdry new narcotic allegations in the U.K. press this morning, has apparently been approached by the makers of Big Brother.

Norah Jones Tour
Reuters reports: With her new Blue Note album, "Not Too Late," poised to debut next week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Norah Jones has announced the dates for her spring North American tour.

Reuters reports: Carrie Underwood, the Dixie Chicks, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts and Sugarland scored a leading three nominations each for the 2007 CMT Music Awards, to be held April 16 at Nashville's Curb Event Center.

FMQB reports: Avril Lavigne has signed a deal with Random House Publishing for a manga comic series she collaborated on and "appears" in. Make 5 Wishes is a two-volume series, part one of which arrives in stores on April 10, with the second edition due out in June. Blabbermouth reports: BLABBERMOUTH.NET can reveal that Rhino Records has set a March 13 release date for VAN HALEN's "Best Of (1978-1984)", the first single-disc compilation exclusively spotlighting 1978-1984, the group's original David Lee Roth era. Blabbermouth reports: Kansas-based death metallers ORIGIN have been rejoined by drummer John Longstreth. The group will embark on a European tour with NECROPHAGIST and MISERY INDEX beginning on February 8 in Trier, Germany. pr-inside reports: Pop star BRITNEY SPEARS is back in Las Vegas to work on her upcoming album in a recording studio at the Palms Casino Resort.

�Spears will be working with top producer LUKASZ GOTTWALD, who has collaborated with KELLY CLARKSON, MOS DEF, MISSY ELLIOTT and KELIS.
