Nutty Paris Freed, But May Be Going Back to the Slammer
TMZ reports: Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Paris Hilton's medical condition was purely psychological and that she was in peril of having a nervous breakdown, and that's why she was released early this morning.

Psychiatrist Charles Sophy visited Hilton in jail yesterday and the day before. We're told after Sophy's visit yesterday, word was passed to the Sheriff that Hilton's mental state was fragile and she was at risk. Law enforcement sources have just told TMZ the County Jail medical team made the final decision to spring Paris based on Dr. Sophy's psychological evaluation. And we're told, Sheriff Lee Baca gave the final approval.

Update: The Los Angeles City Attorney has filed a motion asking the judge who sentenced Paris Hilton to have her returned to jail to serve out her full sentence. City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo is also asking Judge Michael Sauer to hold a hearing, demanding that the Sheriff's Department show why it should not be held in contempt of court for "violating Judge Sauer's May 4, 2007 order, which expressly stated 'no electronic monitoring.' [see full story for an insane amount of info on Paris. If she goes back maybe she should take Ice-T's advice, "If I was her, I would hit someone the second I got in there and go into PC, protective custody. Then she's just got to sit in there and read some books." That last part seems a bit far fetched. ] - Click Here for the Full Story

Gene Simmons Latest Money Grab= The Art of War
Sleazeroxx.com reports: Rock legend meets the greatest thinker on military strategy ever! A perfect pairing of the 2,500-year-old Chinese master and the contemporary mogul of rock music, the creator of KISS.

As a modern stategist of today's entertainment wars, GENE SIMMONS has few equals. Over his nearly-forty-year career in show business GENE SIMMONS has fought countless battles, avoided even more (Sun Tzu would approve) and emerged victorious nearly every time.

Now, GENE has updated one of the most famous manuals on tactics ever written, interpreted it for a contemporary audience, and added his novel observations. GENE SIMMONS' The Art Of War will take its place as the essential guide book for the 21st century warrior, no matter what the kind of battles being fought are. Foreigner Plan New CD
Sleazeroxx.com reports: Foreigner is eyeing "either the end of this year or early next year" to release a new album, according to group founder Mick Jones. And it's likely to contain a mix of both brand new and familiar material.

Jones and the reconstituted band -- which features Led Zeppelin progeny Jason Bonham on drums, former Dokken bassist Jeff Pilson and Kelly Hansen on vocals -- were recently in an Atlanta studio recording new versions of older material, including a "stripped-down" take of the 1987 hit "Say You Will." On top of that, Jones told Billboard.com that there are "about four or five (new) songs that we have pretty much ready to go," though he wasn't yet ready to reveal titles or final recording plans. Supreme Hendrix Decision
PR reports: Yesterday, the Washington Supreme Court denied the last appeal in Leon Hendrix' five year challenge of James "Al" Hendrix' Will. Al Hendrix was Jimi Hendrix' father, sole heir and founder of Experience Hendrix, LLC, the family company committed to preserving Jimi Hendrix' musical, cultural and artistic legacy. Immediately after Al Hendrix' death in 2002, Leon Hendrix filed this lawsuit challenging Al's chosen heirs and his plan for continuing Jimi Hendrix' legacy.

After a lengthy trial in 2004, Judge Ramsdell denied Leon Hendrix' challenge. Leon appealed. In 2006, the Washington Court of Appeals unanimously affirmed Judge Ramsdell's decision. On June 5, the Washington Supreme Court denied Leon's last appeal. With this decision, Leon's challenge is over and the Will can now be carried out as Al Hendrix had intended.
