Ozzy Retiring?
BW&BK reports: Could this year's Ozzfest be the end of the road for OZZY OSBOURNE? The 58-year-old metal legend says it's entirely possible. 

"At my age, I don't know how many more of these tours I have left in me," Osbourne tells Guitar World magazine. "This could be the last one."

More GNR Leaks
Blabbermouth reports: A studio mix of another new GUNS N' ROSES song, "There Was a Time", was leaked on Sunday, May 6, making it the fourth new GN'R track in two days to be released via the Internet ("The Blues", "Chinese Democracy" and "I.R.S." were leaked two days earlier). "There Was a Time" (also known as "T.W.A.T.") was played live only twice � at the first New York City warm-up show on May 12, 2006 and Madrid, Spain on May 25, 2006 � and was mentioned as one of GN'R singer Axl Rose's favorites in an interview he gave to Rolling Stone magazine in January 2006. Linkin Park, MCR, TBS, HIM, Placebo and More for Projekt Revolution 07
PR reports: Amidst a groundswell of rumors and anticipation, Warner Bros. artist Linkin Park confirmed today the fourth installment of Projekt Revolution beginning July 25th and culminating on September 3 in Denver at the Coors Amphitheatre (routing below). Fans can expect to see Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, HIM, Placebo and Julien-K on the Main Stage and Mindless Self Indulgence, Saosin, The Bled, Styles of Beyond and Madina Lake on the Revolution Stage. Tickets go on sale nationwide on May 19th. The few dates not announced due to radio shows will be announced shortly. Tickets will be available at www.livenation.com. 

Projekt Revolution and Music For Relief have been working hard at making this event an environmentally conscious effort. Besides making the tour a "Green" tour Projekt Revolution and Music for Relief will be donating $1 from each ticket to give to American Forests for their Global ReLeaf program to plant trees to help reduce global temperatures.

Slayer, Manson Tour Dates
PR reports: Tour dates for this summer's match made in Heaven...or Hell...are announced today. Marilyn Manson and Slayer's 25-city co-headline North American tour will kick off on July 25 in West Palm Beach, FL, pillaging its way cross-country to wrap up in San Antonio, TX on September 1. Confirmed dates are below.

For this two-pronged-threat double bill, Slayer and Manson will each play full sets with Bleeding Through and one other support band, yet to be determined, opening all shows.

Black Tooth Bash (Dimebag Benefit) Gets Help from MI
PR reports: Musicians Institute (www.mi.edu) has signed on as a co-sponsor of the Little Kids Rock Foundation benefit concert to be held in memory of legendary Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell at the House of Blues Sunset on Thursday, May 17th. Little Kids Rock (www.littlekidsrock.org) is an innovative non-profit music education program that provides free instruments and rock 'n' roll lessons to public school students. The day before the event, MI will open its main concert hall as rehearsal space for performers at the "Black Tooth Bash." MI students will be able to observe the 12-hour rehearsal for the event from behind the auditorium glass.

Nikki Sixx Offers Heroin for Download
PR reports: Nikki Sixx is back with an unflinching biography and new album, "The Heroin Diaries." The album hits stores on August 20th and is followed by the book on September 25th. 
The soundtrack that accompanies the book features 12 tracks, one for each chapter of the book. The album's first single is the track "Life is Beautiful." AC/DC Return?
Blabbermouth reports: According to a posting on the AC/DC fan site AC/DC Highway to Hell, it is rumored that AC/DC has completed editing video footage for a brand new double DVD set to be released September, which will contain one Bon Scott DVD and one Brian Johnson DVD of AC/DC live in concert. Blabbermouth reports: QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE played a last-minute surprise show in London on Thursday night (May 3), unveiling both the band's new lineup and seven songs from its upcoming new record. According to NME.com, the group's latest incarnation now includes bassist Mikey Shoes, a.k.a. Michael Shuman, and guitar/keyboard player Dean Ferlita. Alvin Batiste RIP
Contact Music reports: RAY CHARLES' former clarinet player ALVIN BATISTE died from a heart attack yesterday (06May07), hours before he was set to take to the stage for a show in New Orleans, Louisiana. The 74-year-old jazz great was set to perform with Harry Connick Jr. and Branford Marsalis at the New Orleans Jazz + Heritage Festival when he fell ill and passed away. He gave his last performance on Saturday (05May07) at the FestForAll event in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Batiste was considered one of the founders of the modern jazz scene in New Orleans. As well as performing with Charles, Marsalis, Billy Cobham and Cannonball Adderley, Batiste was also renowned for his teachings, and he founded the Batiste Jazz Institute, where he taught jazz improvisation.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Pete Doherty Arrested Yet Again
Jam! reports: Pete Doherty was arrested this weekend on suspicion of possessing illegal drugs, a published report said Monday. 

Metropolitan Police declined to directly confirm the report in The Sun newspaper, but said a 28-year-old man was arrested Saturday night in London on suspicion of drug possession. He was released on bail pending investigation and was ordered to return to a police station next month.
