Contact Music reports: NICKELBACK star CHAD
KROEGER has reportedly been caught up in another brawl after taking offence
to a heckler in a Vancouver, Canada nightclub. Canada's Jam! Music reports
police have confirmed a fight took place at the club but would not name
names. Kroeger's publicist has refused to comment on the fracas, which
took place on Friday (04May07). According to witnesses, who described the
scene to a local radio station, the rocker punched a man in the face after
he poked fun at Kroeger and his band.[see full story for more... It's not

Blabbermouth reports: According to KHTV Little
Rock, Amy Lee, the 25-year-old lead singer of EVANESCENCE, got married
to her therapist fiance, Josh Hartzler, 28, this past weekend.
Amy's father, John Lee, confirmed to Evanescencefan.net
that his daughter and Hartzler were married on Sunday (May 6) in a very
private ceremony. John said of the wedding, "The big deal at the wedding
was the flowers. Many, many flowers. It was absolutely beautiful and everything
went perfectly." He also added that the newlyweds are now on their honeymoon

Guilty of Sexual Discrimination |
Contact Music reports: A Southampton, England
tribunal has found STING and his wife TRUDIE STYLER guilty of "shameful
conduct" when they fired former chef Jane Martin while she was pregnant.
Martin's GBP28,000 ($56,000) a year job with the Sting, real name Gordon
Sumner, and Styler was terminated in April 2006 after eight years of service.
A tribunal has ruled the couple had unfairly dismissed Martin and that
she had been the victim of sexual discrimination. The tribunal heard in
March (07) how Styler created an "climate of fear" over her staff. Martin
claimed she was forced to work 14 hour days while pregnant and Styler was
not sympathetic when she experienced sickness early in her pregnancy. Styler
was alleged to have raged, "Who the f**k does she think she is? She's my
chef in the UK. She needs to be available if I need her, or she should
rethink her position," when Martin fell ill with stomach trouble.[see full

in Belgrade will not take place at the city's racetrack to avoid upsetting
hundreds of horses stabled nearby.
The July 14 concert will now take place

Blabbermouth reports: According to GnrDaily.com,
Matt Pains of Metromix Chicago recently interviewed VELVET REVOLVER frontman
Scott Weiland. When asked about his relationship (or lack thereof) with
GUNS N' ROSES singer Axl Rose, Weiland replied, "Oh, man. I have never
spoken to him, but I've gotten messages from him through [VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS
N' ROSES drummer] Matt Sorum. They speak every once in awhile. I know that
[Axl] was a fan of STP back in the early days of GUNS. Well, I guess it
wasn't the early days; it was just sort of mid-days, early-mid days ...
I think that — depending on his mood — he vacillates between being into
the idea [of Weiland playing with former GUNS members] and kinda diggin'
it and then hating my guts."
After reading the interview, the webmaser
of the GUNS N' ROSES fan site Here Today… Gone To Hell! contacted Beta
Lebeis (Axl's assistant and close friend) to check the validity of Scott's
quote. Here is her response: "Though Axl spoke with Matt roughly a year
ago, Scott doesn't interest Axl, there are no messages, no vacillating,
no messages were given to Matt by Axl for Scott. In fact earlier on the
same night that Axl ended up speaking with Matt when Scott saw Axl enter
the same club that he and Matt were in, Scott immediately RAN out of the
club which Axl's guests found mildly amusing, beyond that nothing. I was
the one whom Slash spoke with when he came to Axl's house in 2005 and expressed
his negative comments regarding the others in his new band. Behind the
scenes it is a very different story than what the public is sold." [see

Jam! reports: Akon, under fire for doing a
sexually explicit dance onstage with a 14-year-old girl, has offered an
apology to the teen and anyone else who was offended by the display.
Akon was videotaped simulating sex with
a girl invited onstage as part of his act during an April 12 concert in
Trinidad. After the video was circulated widely on the Internet, it was
revealed that she was 14.
In a statement released Wednesday to The
Associated Press, Akon, 34, said he was sorry for the incident but also
said he didn't know the girl was underage. "I want to sincerely apologize
for the embarrassment and any pain I've caused to the young woman who joined
me onstage, her family and the Trinidad community for the events at my

punkbands reports: Jonathon 'Jonny Z' Zanin
of Richmond's Tigershark passed away this past monday. Jonny was found
under the Boulevard Bridge, and his bike above on the pedestrian walkway.
Foul play has been ruled out by police, but the actual cause of death is
still under investigation. Aside from being an accomplished musician, Jonny
also contributed a great deal of time to many social causes; including

SMN reports: The upcoming release of UK death
metal giants AKERCOCKE’s latest album Antichrist has caused uproar amongst
Northern Ireland’s religious community, and is set to be the subject of
a major religious debate live on BBC1 Northern Ireland.
The overtly satanic content contained within
Antichrist has come under attack by religious forces, leading to the band’s
vocalist Jason Mendonca facing a head- to-head live TV debate that will
air on BBC1’s ‘Nolan Live’ show. The debate will be broadcast live via
satellite link at 10.45pm on BBC Northern Ireland following AKERCOCKE’s
gig on May 16th at Nottingham’s Rock City.

PR reports: "American Idol" may be able to
tell their contestants what they can and can't sing, but they can't censor
P!nk!
P!nk's pre-taped performance of her song
"Who Knew" is scheduled to air tonight on "Idol" (after being bumped from
the "Idol Gives Back" charity episode), but TMZ has learned that the pop
star was originally set to sing her current racy hit, "U + Ur Hand."
We're told when the "Idol" powers-that-be
realized the song made references to self-love, they asked P!nk to alter
the lyrics to make them more appropriate for the "family-friendly" show.
You know, like an exhumed Elvis! Well-placed sources tell TMZ that P!nk
wasn't willing to compromise her artistic integrity (you go girl!) and
agreed to sing her last single, "Who Knew," instead.-
