Interpol Vs YouTube
Gigwise reports: Interpol have spoken extensively about how youtube has taken away the anticipation of waiting for a new album.

Speaking exclusively to Gigwise, their comments about the video site came the day after they teased fans with just three new songs off their eagerly anticipated third album, Our Love To Admire,' at a London show, on May 15th.

The bands drummer, Sam Fogarino said: "The advent of youtube, to have your record portrayed in such a low fidelity medium is awful. I mean it's flattering that somebody feels the need to get the live performances up of these songs right away, but the thought of having our whole album on a DV cassette through some broadband wire is ridiculous."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Peter Leaves Opeth
SMN reports: Peter Lindgren has stepped down from his guitar wielding duties after 16 years in OPETH. Below is an open letter from Peter addressing the issue:

"It is with sadness I announce that OPETH and I are going separate ways after almost 16 years. The decision has been the toughest I've ever made but it is the right one to make at this point in my life.

The reason behind this is that I feel that I simply have lost some of the enthusiasm and inspiration needed to participate in a band that has grown from a few guys playing the music we love to a world-wide industry. The love of music has always been, and still is, our motive, but I personally have lost something along the way.
