Graham Colton Week: If Love was Enough
antiMusic reports: Acclaimed singer/songwriter Graham Colton returns to record stores with his brand new album "Here Right Now." To celebrate the release we asked Graham to pick his five favorite tracks from the CD and tell us a little about each. Here is Graham with today's pick.

If Love was Enough: Like many of the newer songs I wrote for this album, this song began with the title. The title 'if love was enough' really captured what I was going through at the time in a relationship. Sometimes the guitar chords come first and others you have a few lyrics on a piece of paper. I knew I had a real song when I wrote the title.

Bon Jovi for Governor?
antiMusic reports: Despite some speculation that Jon Bon Jovi has been positioning himself to run for governor of the state he abandoned, his PR person has denied such plans and says that Jon's "day job is going too well" for him to contemplate such a move. Maybe the pay cut would be too much for him?
Bon Jovi has long been a supporter of left-wing politics and politicians so it's natural to assume that he may want to get involved directly instead of being a fund-raiser for the political causes he believes in. Some have read into a few facts that Jon is positioning himself for a run.
Fact one is that when Jon and his family abandoned their native New Jersey for the trendy mecca of SoHo, Jon kept his house in Red Bank in retain his residency so he could run for governor. They also point to his political appearances with the Al Gore's and John Kerry's of the world. Perhaps thinking his fame would help him actually win elections? And the big one is the fact that Bon Jovi has hired former Mayor David Dinkins chief of staff Ken Sunshine as his new public relations "guru".
Sunshine has dismissed the political speculation

QOTSA Kicked Out of Rehab
antiMusic reports: If you are playing a rehab it may not be that great of an idea to kick off your set with a song that contains the lyrics "Nicotine, valium, vicodin, marijuana, ecstasy and alcohol... c-c-c-c-c-cocaine". But that's just what Queens of the Stone Age did last at an LA rehab.

NME has the story: Queens Of The Stone Age were forcibly removed from a California rehab facility last week. Josh Homme's desert rockers' plan to perform a six-song show for in-patients at an unnamed Los Angeles drying out clinic came to an abrupt and chaotic end when the band were cut off before the end of the first song and manhandled out of the building by heavy security, NME.COM has learned.

The rehab show was intended as a light-hearted, intimate performance in their home city of Los Angeles . - more on this story

Quicks: Digital Beatles in 08- My Chemical Romance Lose Member For Tour- Initial US Foo-
antiMusic reports: Paul McCartney tells Billboard that the Digital Beatles are just around the corner "it's all happening soon. Most of us are all sort of ready. The whole thing is primed, ready to go -- there's just maybe one little sticking point left, and I think it's being cleared up as we speak, so it shouldn't be too long. It's down to fine-tuning, but I'm pretty sure it'll be happening next year, 2008."

Punknews.org reports that My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Lero has had to return home from the tour to tend to a family illness. This leaves the band short two members as drummer Bob Bryar recently had to stand aside to allow a wrist injury to heal. Guitar tech Matt Cortez will fill in for lero while he is gone. Cortez has some experience on stage with the band already. He filled in for bassist Mikey Way while he took time off to enjoy life as a newlywed.

Yoko Whores Lennon Track to JC Penney's
Contact Music reports: Fans of the Beatles are infuriated after a John Lennon track was licensed to appear in a commercial for a U.S. retailer.

Supporters of the group have criticised Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono, for approving J.C. Penney's use of the song in its forthcoming advertising campaign - as the late star would've told the corporate world to "f**k off".

Pete Nash, chairman of the British Beatles Fan Club, says, "Obviously you can't ask Lennon himself if you can use his song, but if you could, I'm 100 per cent sure his answer would be to tell J.C. Penney to f**k off. - more on this story

Oasis Want Full Price For Their New CD
Contact Music reports: British rock band OASIS have quashed rumours they are planning on copying RADIOHEAD by allowing fans to choose the price of their next album. It was alleged Oasis were keen to follow in the footsteps of Radiohead after the band released their latest LP, In Rainbows, as a digital download last month (Oct07) and allowed customers to decide how much they wanted to pay for it.

But Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher is strongly opposed to the idea and claims it would only ever happen "over my dead body".

He adds of their new project, "There's lots of cool parts. Really, we're throwing everything at it. "Hopefully our kid's (Noel Gallagher) learned his lesson (about over-tweaking things in the studio). - more on this story

Bullet For My Valentine Soph
HER reports: Having spent most of the last two years taking over the world with massive UK, European, U.S. and worldwide headline tours, supporting Guns N Roses, Metallica and Iron Maiden, playing Main Stage at almost every rock festival across the world, and seeing their 2006 debut album, "The Poison" - an album London's daily The Sun called "One of the finest debut albums in rock history" - sail past the million sales mark (350,000 in the U.S. alone), Bullet For My Valentine is set to return with album number two, "Scream Aim Fire," set for release in the U.S. on January 29, 2008 (Jive/SonyBMG).

"Scream Aim Fire" was produced by Colin Richardson (Machinehead, Funeral For A Friend) who also produced "The Poison," and was recorded at Sonic Ranch near El Paso, TX earlier this year. The eleven new songs are, according to frontman Matthew Tuck, "really melodic heavy metal...catchy, hooky choruses and full-on vocals, with the music being very in-your-face and heavy...it's a lot more uptempo [than 'The Poison'], a lot more aggressive."

An exclusive 15-minute digital single - a special sneak preview of "Scream Aim Fire" - will be available for download beginning December 18. - more on this story

"Needless to say, we are more than excited and can't wait to get back out there." - more on this story
