Axl Shoots Down Guns N' Roses Reunion Rumors
antiMusic reports: The recent rumors about the original Guns N' Roses reuniting sparked a bit of debate on the web. Like all previous rumors of this nature, it turns out to be wishful thinking. Guns N' Roses' publicist forwarded us this report about the rumors from Premiere Radio Networks:

Despite numerous published reports, Axl Rose has no plans to reunite the most successful Guns n' Roses line-up. Guns' co-manager Irving Azoff says, "There are no plans of a reunion, nor have there been any discussions of a reunion, with former Guns n' Roses band members. In the future, we hope that if media have any questions concerning G-n-R, they'd at least check their facts before running inaccurate stories for their own benefit." - a word about rumors

America Idol Silence Paula Abdul
TMZ reports: Paula Abdul was told in no uncertain terms before her "Letterman" appearance Wednesday night to put a lid on her feud with "A.I." producers. Our sources say Paula is "extremely pissed" at "A.I." producers for putting Paula Goodspeed on the show, despite the fact Goodspeed had been harassing Abdul for years -- mad enough to make a stink on Dave's show.

But before taped rolled, we're told "A.I." suits got in touch with Abdul and demanded that she not stoke the coals. "A.I." made it clear -- they were paying Paula's bills so she needed to play by their rules.

Ultimately, Paula played ball, though somewhat insincerely. But it may have paid off. We've learned "A.I." has already opened negotiations with Abdul for Season 9 -- the talks have gone on for more than a month. - more on this story

Singled Out: Jason Reeves
antiMusic reports: Welcome to Singled Out! where we ask artists to tell us the inside story of their latest single. Today Jason Reeves tells us about "Someone, Somewhere" from his album "Magnificent Adventures of Heartache & Other". We now turn it over to Jason Reeves for the story:

This song is strange for me. It is a portion of hope - flickering and floating around in a pool of darkness like a firefly against a starless sky. I wrote it in a moment of silent desperation with a friend, holding onto the simple idea that somewhere in the world there is somebody waiting for you.... that is feeling the exact same things you are feeling and thinking the exact same beautifully insane thoughts that there is somebody that will make you fall just as hard for them as they do for you..... if not harder and that you might have to be brave. Brave because of the fear that's because of the pain, and brave because you may have to face what has failed you before, again and again, but in the end no ocean of heartache could ever swallow up or smother the brilliant spark of love.

This recording is a demo with make-up on. It was originally just an acoustic guitar and one vocal, sung in a closet immediately after writing it, as a "demo/remember-how-the-song-even-goes" kind of deal. The drums, bass and keys and all that were added later on. A lot of the songs on my record are demos. I think they come out pure that way, and usually cannot be beat..

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album and Jason - right here!
