The Bronx Week: Day 2
antiMusic reports: The Bronx roar back this week with their third album! To celebrate this release we asked frontman Matt Caughthran to pick his favorite tracks from the album and tell us about them. He more than delivers! Here is Matt with today's song:

Enemy Mind: this song deals with the downside of liberation. When someone or something you have control over turns on you and slips away. Liberty man represents the idea of the grass always being greener.

"Enemy Mind" is the side of me that wants to keep some things hidden and to myself. I recorded the vocals for this one night in the studio by myself. 1 beer turned into 13 and there I was at 4am screaming my guts out.

Preview songs from the album, learn more about it and the group and more right - here!

Bon Jovi Sued Over Golf Cart Assault
antiMusic reports: While reading the following report from Sleaze Roxx, keep in mind that the allegations are against a Bon Jovi employee, not a member of the band. Here is the report: A British woman is suing rockers Bon Jovi, alleging that a member of their crew ran her over during a 2006 UK gig, leaving her seriously injured. Sally Allen, a security supervisor at the venue, claimed that the incident happened when the band played at Milton Keynes' National Bowl in southeast England two years ago.

The 37-year-old lady has said in legal papers that she suffered a fractured knee, ligament damage and severe internal injuries after Kevin McDonnell "deliberately" ran over her in a golf buggy.

She claimed that she was working to prevent backstage access after a fire broke out in the VIP area, and that's when she was approached by McDonnell, a member of Bon Jovi's personal security team.

[Wait, she supposedly first tried to sue in the U.S. but that case was rejected. - More details ]

Metallica Hall of Fame Induction Won't Include Founder
antiMusic reports: Metallica are the odds on favorite to be inducted in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year. Rolling Stone broached that topic as well as many in a recent interview with James Hetfield. Here is part of that exchange:

Rollingstone.com: Most likely, Metallica will be inducted into the Hall of Fame next April. Who will be onstage with you? * Hetfield: "Everyone that played on a record should be there. You're considered for the Hall 25 years after your first recording, not after you formed."

Rollingstone.com: That would omit Dave Mustaine. * Hetfield: "He wasn't on a record. Jason Newsted should be up there - he was in the band for 14 years and played on quite a few records - and so should Robert Trujillo."

Rollingstone.com: Will it be weird to be there with Jason? * Hetfield: "There's no reason for it to be weird. We don't want to be part of the soap opera of the Hall of Fame. Everybody wants to see a train wreck, like with Blondie onstage arguing over crap [at the 2006 ceremony]. That really cheapens the moment." - Read The Full Interview

Mark Tremonti Discusses Led Zeppelin and Creed Reunion Rumors
antiMusic reports: Music Radar caught up with Alter Bridge (ex-Creed) guitarist Mark Tremonti to see if they could get some inside information about the rumor that Led Zeppelin planned to tour with his band's frontman, and he also addressed the possibility of a Creed reunion. Here is part of that interview:

Music Radar: The Zeppelin tour would be just a one-off for him? Would he make an album with them? Apparently, they're writing material...

Tremonti: "Oh, who knows? We don't know any details. But I have to say...there wouldn't be a better guy in the world to play that role than Myles. I think it'd be very exciting."

Music Radar: Given the set of circumstances that could go down next year, is the chance of a Creed reunion still nil?

Tremonti: "Who knows what can happen next year? 2009 could be one of the craziest years ever for us. Again, all I can say is that Alter Bridge is still very much a band and we have every intention of carrying on." - Read the full interview

Beatles Mystery Solved?
House of Rock reports: The opening chord to The Beatles' "A Hard Day's Night" is famous because for 40 years, no one quite knew exactly what chord Harrison was playing. Musicians, scholars and amateur guitar players alike had all come up with their own theories, but according to Science Daily, it took a Dalhousie mathematician to figure out the exact formula.

"I started playing guitar because I heard a Beatles recordthat was it for my piano lessons," says Jason Brown of Dalhousie's Department of Mathematics and Statistics with a good laugh. "I had tried to play the first chord of the song many takes over the years. It sounds outlandish that someone could create a mystery around a chord from a time where artists used such simple recording techniques. It's quite remarkable."

Four years ago, inspired by reading news coverage about the song's 40th anniversary, Dr. Brown decided to try and see if he could apply a mathematical calculation known as Fourier transform to solve the Beatles' riddle. The process allowed him to decompose the sound into its original frequencies using computer software and parse out which notes were on the record. - It worked, up until a point
