The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Frontman Speaks Out Against Domestic Violence
PR reports: In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, frontman Ronnie Winter of The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus had the opportunity to speak at the 18th Annual National Multidisciplinary Conference on Domestic Violence: Celebrating Survival…Celebrating You held in San Diego, CA.

"It was an honor to take part in the conference and share my life experience with so many incredible people. The band and I feel fortunate that our talents allow us to raise awareness on social causes that are so important to us," says Winter.

Since the July, 2006 release of their debut Virgin Records album Don't You Fake It, RJA has been an active force in raising funds and awareness for a wide array of charitable organizations and social causes, including: teen suicide prevention and mental health parity; a far-reaching commitment to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence; and in the formation of The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Guardian Angel Foundation, which supports under funded high school programs, individuals affected by domestic violence and contributes to research that focuses on management of acute hyperglycemia in hospitalized patients. - more on this story

Manilow Takes on the Eighties
RCA reports: Barry Manilow just announced the release of his new album, The Greatest Songs Of The Eighties, a brand new 12-song collection that will arrive in stores on Arista Records on November 25th.

The Greatest Songs Of The Eighties uncovers a bounty of treasures and reignites nostalgia for these fantastic hit songs reinterpreted by Manilow in his signature style - from his duet with Reba McEntire on "Islands in the Stream," as they pay homage to Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton's #1 duet of 1983 – to a trio of songs associated with memorable films: Phil Collins #1 hit of 1984, "Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now)"; Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes' #1 hit of 1987, "I've Had the Time of My Life" (from Dirty Dancing); and Christopher Cross' Oscar-winning #1 hit of 1981, "Arthur's Theme (The Best That You Can Do), " and much more.
