Britney Spears Pregnant Again?
Hecklerspray reports: Humanity could soon be wiped out by couple of Mexican pigs with the sniffles. But relax, Britney Spears is on it. If Ryan Seacrest is right, then Britney Spears plans to repopulate the planet in her image - she's apparently pregnant again.

This means, in years to come, Britney Spears will be seen as Earth's new Eve figure - identical to the old Eve but with worse skin, madder eyes and, somehow, even fewer clothes.

Anyway, Britney Spears is reportedly pregnant again. All that Eve stuff was a distraction to stop you howling in despair like we did when we found out. - more on this story

Sorum Says Velvet Revolver Need A Singer Soon Or Else
MusicRadar reports: "We need a singer soon," Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum told MusicRadar in an exclusive interview. "We need the right guy in six months. We can't wait another year. Otherwise, it might not matter."

Sorum told MusicRadar that the band was recently close to deciding on a singer, whose identity he declined to reveal ("I want to protect him"), but after a few recording sessions, both he and various band members ultimately decided it wasn't the right fit.

"The way I like to put it is, we were 'dating,' says Sorum, chuckling. "We had already tried out Spacehog's Royston Langdon - came close there. Then we tried out a few more people, including this guy from Canada [Gord Prior], but nobody seemed appropriate. Then we found this other dude..." - more on this story

30 Seconds To Mars Are Virgins Again
EMI reports: EMI Music's Virgin Records is pleased to announce that it has signed a new worldwide deal with Los Angeles rock band 30 Seconds to Mars. [They apparently worked out their legal disagreements]

30 Seconds to Mars, fronted by vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter Jared Leto, is currently in the studio in Los Angeles recording their third album with acclaimed producer Flood, known for his work with U2, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, and Smashing Pumpkins. Due this fall, the as-yet-untitled album is the follow-up to 2005's platinum-selling A Beautiful Life, which sold more than three million albums and singles worldwide and spawned two Top 10 Modern Rock singles, "From Yesterday" and "The Kill." The latter set a radio record for the longest-running hit in the history of Modern Rock radio play when it remained on the national airplay chart for more than 50 weeks following its No. 3 peak in 2006. "From Yesterday" was the band's first No. 1 at the format. Its epic video was the first American music video ever shot in the People's Republic of China.

30 Seconds to Mars' new album is a collection of the thoughts and ideas that the band (which also includes drummer Shannon Leto and guitarist Tomo Miličević) have experienced after spending several years on the road. The songs reflect a willingness to take chances and create a pivotal, game-changing album. - more on this story

The Story Of AC/DC Retold
PR reports: Let There Be Rock - The Story Of AC/DC will be re-released on May 1, 2009 featuring a new chapter, an interview with Angus Young from November 4, 2008, new photographs and an audio CD of an interview done with all five band members (including Bon Scott) from their first American tour on December 4, 1977.

Let There Be Rock is the story of AC/DC written by rock journalist Susan Masino, who met the band during their first American tour in 1977. Over the years, she remained in contact with them, watching AC/DC climb to international stardom. Since 1977, Susan has interviewed the band many times and their friendship has lasted nearly three decades. Now she tells the true story of AC/DC's illustrious career and how they became one of the true great rock 'n' roll bands in history.

The book traces the band's history, from their beginnings in Sydney, Australia in the early 1970s to trail-blazing the US mainstream to the devastating death of lead singer Bon Scott in 1980. The band pulled together and rebounded to the top of the charts with new front man, Brian Johnson and the watershed album, Back in Black. Led Zeppelin Vs Crickets
Discover reports: Mormon crickets have no taste in music, and Nevadans are using it against them. Residents of Tuscarora are getting ready to blast their boomboxes to ward off the crickets' semi-annual invasion, after the townsfolk realized three years ago that the pests don't like Led Zeppelin or the Rolling Stones.

Mormon crickets are a real problem in northern Nevada and other parts of the Great Basin: They march in columns up to two miles long and one mile wide from about May through August. They hatch in April and invade all aspects of life before they finally lay eggs and die. They destroy crops, invade people's homes (one resident said, "You'll wake up and there'll be one sitting on your forehead, looking at you"), and clog roadwayseven requiring snowplows to clear out their piled-up carcasses.

People do what they can to steer the pests away, trying poison bait and other tricks. But in 2006, after reading about a woman in the 1930s who had driven the insects off with a Chinese gong, a Tuscarora resident was inspired to try out some modern music. - more on this story

Singled Out: The Bronx
antiMusic reports: Welcome to Singled Out! where we ask artists to tell us the inside story of their latest single. Today The Bronx frontman Matt Caughthran and guitarist Joby Ford tell us about their new single "Knifeman". Matt tells us the story behind the song while Joby gives us the lowdown on how the song came together musically. We now turn it over to The Bronx for the story:

Matt Caughthran: "Knifeman" this is the first song on the new record and currently my favorite song to play live. Knifeman's title is a tribute to a neighbor I had growing up in Pico Rivera CA. He would wash his driveway down with gasoline and chop down his hedges with a machete every other week. My father called him knifeman. He committed suicide at a church down the street after a police standoff. His spirit lives on in knifeman's lyrics. This song is about being born outta place. Trying to keep sanity in an insane world.

Joby Ford: The opening riff for "Knifeman" I had floating around forever. I really liked the repetitive-ness of it. And f# is my favorite key. I had written about 3 different version of the tune that never seemed to work as the song progressed. I had been trying to finish the song since Bronx (II) in the studio. It never happened. Matt and I sat down one day and decided we were going to finish it. I spent all day writing different parts and finally found parts that seemed to complete the song. Jorma Vik's monster beat made it all come together. I like this song the most on our new record because it always feels like I am playing the drums on guitar, and Jorma is playing the leads on drums. Juxtaposed.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself while you check out the brand new video! Watch it - here.
