Nikki Sixx Spits On Female Fan
Metal Sludge reports: Motley Crue bassist recently had a hissy fit on stage when someone threw a bottle of water at him. Nikki got hardcore with the fan, who turned out to be a girl.

Nikki spits into the crowd and then tells her to suck his dick. After he calls her a bitch and tells her to get the ---- outta here, she then starts to cry.

Oddly enough, it's the same water bottle he threw into the crowd only seconds earlier. Check out the video. You can clearly hear the verbal assault and see him spit into the crowd at the 1:55 mark of the clip. - Full Metal Sludge Report

Limp Bizkit Reunites
antiMusic reports: So much for taking Wes Borland at his word. Yesterday we share a report from MusicRadar which quoted Borland as saying he had no interest in a Limp Bizkit reunion. A few hours after that story was published Limp Bizkit announced that the original group are back (and by extension so is Crap Rock). We can only guess that Wes did it all for the nookie! But the timing makes sense since their old fanbase are likely around 20-21 now and Bizkit music is fitting for frat parties.

Here is the official announcement: The original line-up of Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, John Otto, and DJ Lethal are back from an eight year hiatus to bring their world back to ours. Fred Durst and Wes Borland said in a joint statement:

"We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other. Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why Limp Bizkit is back." - more on this story

Ozzfest was a one-off event in Frisco, Texas, last year, with appearances by Osbourne, Metallica, Serj Tankian, Korn's Jonathan Davis and Sevendust. - more on this story

Velvet Revolver Close To Finding Their Voice
TheRockRadio.com reports: There's been little news out of the Velvet Revolver camp lately regarding a new singer for the band, although auditions have reportedly been ongoing.

Bassist Duff McKagan told us this week that the group has been a little frustrated with the submissions they've gotten and even wondered if they would ever find the right guy.

But McKagan also said that things have recently taken a positive turn: "In the last, I would say, about eight weeks, we got three guys in that were all really good - like, far and above, more fitting than the rest. So I can say this much: we're headed in a very positive direction, and you might be hearing something soon." - more on this story

Foo Fighter Comments on Control Freak Dave Grohl
NME reports: Foo Fighters' Taylor Hawkins discussed his working relationship with frontman Dave Grohl, and their plans to begin recording a new album.

The drummer said that Grohl, who played drums in Nirvana before fronting Foo Fighters, is a drummer "first and foremost" and often critiques his drumming style.

"He's a complete control freak," Hawkins said of Grohl. "But he's the nicest control freak you ever meet in your life. He tells me what to do but we work off each other as well. He's a drummer first and foremost. He's become a great singer and songwriter but he's a drummer first. When we're working together on music, not only do you have one drummer's ideas but you have two of them coming from totally different places." - more on this story

'Rapper' Joaquin Phoenix Makes Bizarre Appearance
MusicRadar reports: Joaquin Phoenix made a truly messed-up appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman this week in what may or may not be his last appearance as an actor.

During the past few months, Phoenix has insisted he is giving up his acting career to focus on becoming a hip-hop artist. But are we being punked? Hard to tell. In the video, Phoenix, heavily bearded and wearing sunglasses, on hand to ostensibly promote his new (and perhaps last?) movie, Two Lovers, appears either distracted or dazed when answering Letterman's questions, and becomes aggitated by the host's good-natured ribbing.

Chewing gum nervously, he even questions the mental state of the audience (who have been laughing at the awkward 'interview'). When Letterman says, "I'll come to your house and chew gum," Phoenix takes the gum from his mouth and sticks it to Letterman's desk. - watch the video

He said: "We talked about Gustavo getting together with Thom Yorke from Radiohead, which I thought would be very interesting. And they may still do a couple of sounds for the movie." - more on this story

REPO! Road Tour Diary: Saint Louis
antiMusic reports: We've been telling you all about REPO! The Genetic Opera and the recent REPO! Road Tours. The third tour just wrapped up and REPO star and co-writer Terrance Zdunich (plays Grave Robber) gives us the lowdown! Here is today's entry from Saint Louis.

January 19, 2009.: Today, we drive. This is the 1st day in 7 days that we do have not have a REPO! screening to go to. So today, we drive. We drive 353 miles to Saint Louis, Missouri. We drive with the hopes of reaching the city before sundown to sit down around a table, like fully-evolved primates, for a complete, unhurried dinner (this would be the 1st such incident of REPO Road Tour 3!). We drive towards the promise of a decent night's sleep (another 1st for RRT3!). Today, we drive.

Joining us on this 5-and-a-half hour trek is Allison from RockLove Jewelry, creator of the limited-edition REPO Man scalpel necklace. For the past 4 nights, Alli's crewed up with a caravan of REPO! fans who have followed our road tour since the Foxboro stop. At each of these stops, Alli's helped Spooky Dan run our merch table. Since her parents live in St. Louis, Alli's catching a ride with us to visit them, and her hometown.
