Behind the Video: The Johnstones' Let's Get F**ked Up (Drunkest Video Of All Time) |
The Johnstones were given some money to make a video, but we wanted to do something really crazy, so We just rented out an office and bought enough beer and liquor to get everyone involved ridiculously smashed. From the Director to the Camera crew to the band everyone was as drunk as they could be. The Day took forever because as you could imagine we couldn't get anything done. And during the process some very absurd things happened, one of the extra's "Gary Kraft" actually fell over and broke two ribs, We had three pukers, and another Extra got so drunk that he passed out for 5 hours on the conference table. All the while we were filming.
The Johnstones have always been known for their crazy music videos and we really wanted to push the envelope and do something that has never been done before, resulting probably the dumbest, sloppiest, and definitely the drunkest music video ever made. We didn't want to be the band making a video about getting f**ked up without actually doing it so we went to the extreme, sense, to make a video that would never be played on MuchMusic Ever. As you can imagine, our label, management, and agency didn't care much for the video.
The Song "Let's Get F**ked Up" is going to be on our new album set to release in March 2011. The Johnstones are leaving for a Canadian tour titled "The Yellow Snow Tour" January 6th hitting 10 cities in Ontario and Quebec.
Now that you know the story behind this video, grab a drink and watch it for yourself

Muse Aim For The Stars... Literally |
Frontman Matthew Bellamy told The Sun, "We've had some discussions about playing in space. Sometimes very coherent conversations and sometimes very late at night, but it's for real. I'm thinking of approaching Richard Branson to see if we could do it on his spacecraft he's got happening."
Bellamy says the band would undoubtedly have to scale back their arena-worthy stage show: "We do have a lot of equipment, so I guess we'd have to use pods to carry our stuff and we'd scale back the shows a lot. I don't think the spacecraft is like a Tardis [the space-time-bending Doctor Who vehicle], where we could get everything in we usually have. I do think it will be possible in the future and I'm sure it will happen in my lifetime. We'd love to be part of that."

Stratovarius' Jorg Michael Updates Fans On Cancer Fight |
I have some good news to tell you and believe me - I really enjoy to tell the world: The surgery was done over six weeks ago and the first therapy is done as well. All looks good so far and as [keyboardist] Jens [Johansson] told me before: 'Do not worry, Jrg. What should survive in your body after all that you did to him!' Finally, he was right. There are only small bits and bobs left - I will fight those with another therapy [session] in about four months time.I think I've been very lucky that it was discovered by one of my friends in a very early state. Very good that my friend decided to become a doctor; he was very lousy when he tried playing the guitar.
I'm currently practicing the drums to be ready and kicking again when the tour continues in the new year. I will be back. Thanks again for everything! See you in Paris and everywhere else...... Best, Jrg Michael"
