New Aerosmith Studio Video |
The rock legends entered guitarist Joe Perry's The Boneyard studio in suburban Boston and their main studio, Pandora's Box, early this summer with long-time producer Jack Douglas to begin recording their 14th studio album and first set of original material since 2001's "Just Push Play" and first studio album since 2004's blues covers CD, "Honkin' On Bobo."
"The new album should be out around May 2012," reports Jack. "I know that's a long wait, but after the South American tour and Japan in October, November and December, we will just get back to work on it in mid-January. For those who are asking, this album will be raw, nasty, tough rock with a good deal of the old Aerosmith 'tongue in cheek.'"

Slash DVD Set For Release |
"I have memories that I went to school there, of the basic neighborhood that I lived in," says Slash. "I remember exactly what the house looked like. Just everything in general, for some reason my memory is really clear. Better than my memory of later years."
"I've been wanting to do this for a long time and for some reason it just never seemed possible," said Slash before the show. "One of the things about doing the solo record and setting up my own tour was that I told the powers-that-be that I wanted to play in places I'd never played before. And so Stoke was something that was high on my list and I told them just make it happen."

The Rolling Stones Ed Sullivan Appearances Coming To DVD |
The Ed Sullivan Show, the legendary live Sunday night variety show with a viewership of more than 35 million, was the unwitting catalyst that helped ignite music's British Invasion. That musical assault kicked off a new sound that would change the world forever. One of the most significant and enduring forces in that invasion was a group of young upstarts who called themselves the "Rolling Stones." They offered their own brand of gritty, rhythm and blues-inflected, down-and-dirty rock 'n' roll that would eventually conquer the music world, making them one of the all-time greatest bands in history. In fact, they came to be universally known as "The World's Greatest Rock and Roll Band."
The standard edition (2 DVDs) includes four Ed Sullivan Show episodes, and the deluxe version features all 6 episodes of The Ed Sullivan Show, highlighting the complete Rolling Stones' appearances, including 17 of their live performances -- many of their greatest hits.

Bill Wyman Box Set Coming In October |
The collection features Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Mark Knopfler, Nicky Hopkins, Paul Carrack, Peter Frampton, Georgie Fame and Andy Fairweather-Low. Here are the details we were sent:
This five-disc Collectors' Edition Box Set, which gathers four studio albums Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings cranked out between their 1998 debut Struttin' Our Stuff and 2001's Double Bill, is a revelation, particularly for those who have yet to discover the rich body of work of Wyman's low-profile/high-revving band. Given the expansive array of material the Rhythm Kings tackle in these recordings, one even might think of this collection as a pocket history of 20th century roots music, with original material written in the spirit of the old songs serving as the connective tissue.

"It was crazy (soldiers moshing with weapons on). They were so excited! I had a talk with a few of the guys and they were like, 'they seem to send us a lot of country music. I guess they assume that especially some of the guys from the south everyone's into country music.'," Hook explained to Up On The Sun.
