Dark New Day's Lost Album To Finally Be Released
The lost Dark New Day album "Hail Mary" will finally be released to the public on February 19, 2013.

Pavement Entertainment has acquired the rights to the album, which was to be the follow up to the bands debut album "Twelve Year Silence", but was never released.

Will Hunt from Dark New Day says "We in Dark New Day are extremely excited that our "lost" album is finally going to get the proper release and treatment it deserves. We're excited for fans to hear what two years of writing, struggle, and growth did for us. You'll hear a band that wasn't afraid to embrace experimentation and forge new sonic territory. You'll also hear a band at times grind out some of the darkest, heaviest, lyrically intense music of its career. This record is sonically amazing and we're very proud of it. We hope that this is just a stepping stone to another record in the very near future. Enjoy!" more on this story

Singled Out: Beta Wolf
Today Beta Wolf frontman Grant Arnow tells us about the song "Domino" from their "Just Before Morning EP" which was released this summer. Here is the story:

I wrote the song about a relationship I'd been in that, in spite of being long past it's due-date, just refused to die. A friend of mine calls it 'expiration-dating'; you break up, and even though you both agree that it's best to move on, you continue to hook-up endlessly. She and I had been together for a while, and it was clear that it was time for both of us to let go I was on the road most of the time, and she wanted to settle into the traditional 'family and kids' mode. We went through the teary 'this just isn't working', 'here's your stuff back', 'take care of yourself' blah blah blah, and put the whole thing to sleep (or so we thought). Almost immediately after, though, we started a pattern that dragged on over a few years. A few nights a week, either I (or she) would be laying awake at 1:30AM, bored, and we'd shoot the other a text message just to see what would happen. It would typically say something simple, like 'U AWAKE?' Either of us reasoned that, if the text went unanswered, the sender would be forced to confront the reality of a cold bed but if the text WAS answered, then it was justifiable to get together (again). It was a kind of abstract addiction - an 'affection addiction' - and I think it ultimately came down to the fact that it was really comfortable and familiar to see one another, and that finding someone new would involve some degree of risk. Alcohol definitely added fuel to the fire; whenever either of us went out for a night, the other could definitely expect a late-night broadcast. So I wrote 'Domino' as if I was speaking directly to her: ... when you're drunk and alone and you need somewhere to fall, you go where you're comfortable you come to me', and 'every time that I'm ready to let you go, you come and knock me down like a Domino'. It was my way of verbalising what we were doing.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!

Motionless In White Release Devil's Night Video
Motionless In White have released a new music video for their single "Devil's Night".

Produced and directed by Cody Blue Snider, the track is taken from their new album Infamous. Watch the video here.

"It's been 2 years since the release of Creatures and I am finally here to announce the arrival of Infamous. I've never been as happy with anything I've ever written for this band as I am with this record," explains lead singer Chris Motionless. "I feel like a lot of bands today stick to these unwritten set of "rules" when writing their songs, as though there's this barrier that they "aren't allowed" to break through that prevents them from taking risks. I really wanted to challenge that concept and explore a lot of different styles of music in one record, even more so than we did with Creatures. This record has something for everyone. We really hope you love Infamous as much as we do, and that we all carry on this new chapter in our career together." more on this story
