(hennemusic) Guns N' Roses leader Axl Rose's rare TV appearance on Jimmy Kimmel's show Wednesday night was seen by millions, including Perla Hudson, wife of former GNR guitarist Slash.

Axl treated the studio audience to free food at a Tommy's Burgers truck he hired to park outside Kimmel's studio, which provided Perla with more ammunition for her husband's ex-lead singer. Set Your Goals Lose Member
Mike Ambrose has announced that he plans to part ways with Set Your Goals following two final shows in December.

He issued these words to fans about his decision via Twitter: "Dear friends, family, and fans, it's with a heavy heart that I report that my time with Set Your Goals has come to an end. My final shows with SYG will be December 2nd at the Oakland Metro and December 7th at Chain Reaction in Anaheim. What this band has been able to fulfill thus far is beyond the dreams I had 8 years ago and I'm extremely proud of our accomplishments.

"The guys are going to continue on without me and are in the middle of writing new material to be released next year. We're still all on good terms and the band has asked to please hold off on inquiries about the position for the time being. I'm in no way finished with my love affair with drums and music and am fired up about the possibilities that lie ahead. An enormous thank you must be said to the innumerable companions made along the journey so far- your support and devotion to the band and myself has fueled us. We shall meet again." Twitter link.

Peter Gabriel Wants Fans To Recreate Sledgehammer Video
(CBS Local) Peter Gabriel's 1986 stop-motion/claymation video for "Sledgehammer" has gone down in history as one of the most innovative music videos of all-time, earning the former Genesis member nine Video Music Awards and becoming one of the most-played videos of all-time on MTV.

Now, Gabriel is asking fans to recreate it, shot by shot, and vote for the best. Dubbed "Grab Your Sledgehammer," the competition is in celebration of Gabriel's reissue of So, which celebrates its 25th anniversary.

This may sound like an overly ambitious project, but Gabriel (well, his team) launched a interactive app through his official Facebook that helps to simplify the process and enable voting on each entry. Check it out.

Singled Out: Sister Sin
This week Sister Sin released their new album, "Now and Forever" via Victory Records and to celebrate we asked Dave Sundberg to tell us about the track "End of the Line". Here is the story:

End of the Line" -The first single from our new album combines thrash-inspired riffs with a solid backbone of 80s heavy Metal with a modern twist. Its fast paced and in your face! It is probably our most diverse song to date with many elements to it and lots of tempo changes. It was also the first time weve ever used a string section to give the chorus a real epic feel. Everything worked out fantastically along with the doomsday lyrics.

Got inspiration to the lyrics from all the "end of the world" prophecies surrounding the year 2012. It just got stuck in my head after our most recent tour in the U.S where we saw these "warnings" from the Christian Right in the South on billboards here and there.

As a movie fanatic I mixed up these impressions together with the storyline from "Terminator" and out came "End of the Line"

Your anthem to the apocalypse! Enjoy!

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!

Fear Factory Release Full Length Industrialist Video
(ESM) Fear Factory have premiered the full-length version of video for the song "The Industrialist" online.

The video, directed/edited by James Zahn, utilizes live footage of the band against a visual backdrop that pulls topical subjects from the story written by Burton C. Bell that served as inspiration for the band's latest album.

A part of "The Industrialist" video was revealed earlier this year leading up to the release of the album. Over half a million views of the excerpt has been logged to date. Now with the full video, the visual door to the concepts presented on the album are available for music fans to experience. Bell says, "We allowed James to take his time to create the video so that he could match his expertise with the conceptual imagery that was written in 'The Industrialist.' Being that he has been a long-time fan of Fear Factory, he understood the nature of the FF-machine; the concepts, imagery, and history. I believe he achieved a new era for Fear Factory video concepts." Watch it here.

Released on June 5, the concept-driven The Industrialist was released on CD, vinyl, and digibook; the later includes the entire Bell story and illustrations by the vocalist. more on this story
