While anonymous sources can easily be dismissed, Australian entertainment commentator Peter Ford told the radio station 3AW that he heard about the rumor on Perth radio station 6PR and he "followed it up from there. And indeed, the story does seem to stand up.
"My information is that Malcolm Young, one of the founding members of the group, has in recent times returned to Australia to live with his family and for his own personal reasons, he may not want to continue to perform with the band."
He then explains why this may mean the end of the legendary group, "The boys have a pact that they will not get anybody else into the group. Nobody will be replaced and when somebody leaves, the group ends.
"Now like last year, they did announce that they would be doing a 40th anniversary tour and performing 40 concerts around the world. But since that announcement, there has been nothing that has been set in concrete.... the suggestion being put to me is that tour will never happen and we will never see AC/DC perform again or record again."
Ford also took to his Twitter account to answer a fan question and said, "there is a sad story behind all this that I have chosen not to report ...boys played together privately a few weeks back."
The Sydney Morning Herald has published a report with material from the email that sparked these rumors as well as a stream of Ford's entire comments on the radio program. Check it out

"Doing some catching up here, a little bit of a scrapbook," begins the singer. "We've been doing a lot of travelling. [I've been] working on a great Van Halen project - can't announce anything or I'd have to come find you and swear you to secrecy."
The rocker also talks about his life in Tokyo, Japan, as well as his recent appearance with Mike Love of the Beach Boys at The Society Of Singers' 21st ELLA Awards in Beverly Hills in February, where the two teamed up to perform that band's classic (and solo hit for Roth), "California Girls

"Led Zeppelin Played Here" is the new documentary from Jeff Krulik that takes a look at the mystery surrounding a Led Zeppelin concert that some say took place at a youth center in Wheaton, Maryland on January 20, 1969 where the legendary band played in front of around 50 teenagers.
Led Zeppelin's official website reportedly says that no evidence exists that the show ever took place and former road manager Richard Cole has no memory of the gig, according to ABC.
The new 90-minute documentary is currently being screened at film festivals with the next screening scheduled to take place at the Cindelphia Film Festival in Philadelphia on April 20th.

"Our treatment at the RRHOF confirmed my worst suspicions," tweeted Stanley on Friday. "Wenner and the rest are spineless weasels." The singer continued his rant on twitter Saturday, writing, "@JannWenner & his RRHOF made sure to treat us as uninvited guests. No passes. No schedule and on. We were great and he remains a small man."
Simmons joined in on Saturday, posting a link to Rolling Stone magazine's 1969 review slamming the debut album by Led Zeppelin, adding, "ROLLING STONE. IDIOTS THEN. IDIOTS NOW."
The bassist also tweeted a link to a video by the critic who wrote the Zeppelin review, saying "HERE IS THE ROLLING STONE WRITER WHO PANNED ZEP'S 1ST ALBUM. HIS BAND..MORON..."

In an interview with KROQ, a Radio.com station, at last weekend's Coachella, Wolstenholme and Howard said that the band should be getting down to business next month.
"These are our last two gigs - tomorrow and the next weekend, and then we're completely done for touring this album," Howard told the station. "We're going to go back in May and start working on some new stuff, so I think we'll start recording it this year. If we can get something out this year, that would be great, but definitely next year."
In addition to teasing new music, the band also talked about the influence of Nirvana on the trio's music, shortly after the '90s rock act's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last Thursday.
"We all loved them," Howard said. "In many ways it was that kind of music and some other bands that kind of brought us together and we almost because friends because of that."

"There's not that many people that's still alive in rock n' roll that've been 50 years doing it - still doing it," said Mick Jagger. "We're lucky that people still want to come."
"Wherever we find an audience, we go to them" added Keith Richards. "There's some long trips on this, but at the same time, I always wanted to travel [laughs]."

Produced by Phil Collins, Ted Templeman, Lenny Waronker and Slowhand himself, the 1985 title marked a change in direction and won him his first hit singles of the decade.
AudioFidelity, who are behind the high-quality edition, say: "Clapton's voice had a rich new depth, like whisky aged to perfection. The recording showcased blistering guitar solos, a high-octane R&B beat and a slick synthesizer-backed production that was well-suited for the pop-rock market.

Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear played a set at their Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction, fronted by guests including Joan Jett, Kim Gordon and St Vincent's Annie Clark.
They followed it with a secret show at a 230-capacity club in Brooklyn, with McCauley invited to take a turn alongside the big-name guests to deliver Nirvana tracks Serve The Servants and Scentless Apprentice.
"I got an email from Dave personally - but it was the day before April Fool's Day so I didn't really get my hopes up," He tells Rolling Stone. "It could have been anybody with a fake email account. I was skeptical for a couple of days, but then I got an email from their manager and it got real legit."
"Then I was like, 'Holy sh*t - this is weird, man. But let's do it.'"

Skid Row, who have been fronted by Johnny Solinger for 14 years, have frequently shouted down the idea of a reunion with Bach. The former frontman has suggested only one member is blocking the move, with speculation suggesting it's the bassist.
"Rachel Bolan doesn't like me - but I would work with him any time, because the result of that dynamic is really good music," Bach tells RockRevolt. "Nothing good comes easy. When I read interviews with my old band and they say, 'We get along great with our new singer - we have barbecues and drink tequila together,' You know what? I don't give a f*** about barbecues."

He writes, "I am so happy about the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame event and how it went so well. Earlier that week there were three long days of rehearsals in NYC. I feel we conjured the spirit of the band, and we could not have done that alone. This, for me, is a bittersweet notion as we all miss Kurt so much. But considering we were inducted, the show had to go on. Joan Jett was first on my list to be out front. I spoke to Dave about it and he ran with the idea of having all women lead. We felt that would be a good tribute to Kurt and what Nirvana was about.
"It was a good balance of females as Joan Jett and Kim Gordon are matriarchs of Punk Rock, while St. Vincent and Lorde represent the powerful up-and-coming women in Rock. Every one of these performances nailed a Nirvana tune in their own way. Joan - Smells Like Teem Spirit, Kim - Aneurism, St. Vincent - Lithium and Lorde - All Apologies. I had fun on the last song because I got to play accordion and all of our guests were on stage for a gala closing! Our set will be broadcast in high quality television in May so check it out.
"We also did a club gig afterward that was a lot of fun. I will have more on that soon but thank you to J Mascis and John McCauley for your great contributions!!!!

The decision was made before the band appeared at this year's HRH Prog festival in Wales last month - but the singer says he's already hoping for a reunion in the future.
Fish reports: "We both recognised that the Moveable Feast tour in late 2013 had taken its toll on our relationship. Earlier this year communications became somewhat strained, resulting in open and frank discussions. We both had to quantify our close personal relationship, which has survived for a very long time, against touring demands and schedules which conflicted with family demands.
"In February it came to a head and we both had to make a decision. We decided it was time for us both to take a break from each other. I discovered a replacement but Foss agreed to play the HRH festival and the Baja Prog festival, giving me time to bring the new keyboard player in."

Reed says: "I've always loved this song, and Mark and I have gained great pleasure in performing our version. We've been looking for an excuse to record it, and adding Kim to the mix finally gave us the impetus to do it. We've no interest in profiting personally, so with the agreement of the Twelfth Night guys, we're putting it out there in the hope of raising money for a worthy cause."

The lineup included his bandmates in the Allmans - guitarists Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks, who announced shortly after that show that they'd be leaving the band at year's end - as well as his peers (Jackson Browne, Dr. John), his son (Devon Allman) and his disciples from the jam-band world (Widespread Panic). It also included artists from the country music world (Trace Adkins, Martina McBride, Eric Church), plus one of his influences (Sam Moore from legendary '60s soul duo Sam & Dave). A live album and concert film from the event, called All My Friends will be out on May 6.
The show had many highlights, and one of them was Church's performance. The country superstar took on the lead track from 1972′s Eat A Peach, "Ain't Wastin' Time No More," as well as "Win, Lose or Draw," the title track from the band's 1975 LP.
"The great thing that Gregg Allman and the Allman Brothers and a lot of people from that era did best is they let the music be the music," Church said. "They didn't try to manufacture it, they let the creativity happen."
"He tore that up," Allman told Radio.com about Church's performance, during a phone conversation last week."But please print this: it's hard to say who did the best job of what. They were all so wonderful."
