Perry made the revelation during an interview with The Chicago Sun-Times. He said, "I did a [recording] session with Paul McCartney a month and a half ago for a private thing," Perry told the paper earlier this week. "I met him once or twice [over the years] to say hello.
"To spend 6 or 8 hours in studio with him recording! He makes you feel like [you're recording with just another guy]. He just happens to be a mother--g huge talent! Everyone's in the room at once; you play until you get a good take."
When asked what it was like to play with McCartney, Perry said, " It's the great ego leveler. I was in the studio with Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp, playing guitar, and the three of us are looking at each other like, hey, we're sitting here with Paul McCartney! And we're all looking at each other like open-mouthed kids. Paul was really nice. He's all about business [when he's recording]. At 72 he can still hit all those notes."
Perry wasn't ready to offer up details about why they were all in the studio together. He said, "It's a project that were keeping under wraps for now. There will be [an announcement when the time is right]."

The band plan to launch a world tour this fall in support of their new studio album, "The Stories We Could Tell" and they said in a statement that they will be taking an as yet unnamed drummer on tour but Torpey will be performing "on suitable live songs as well as participating in the groups acoustic set."
Torpey had this to say to fans, " I've been dealing with Parkinson's symptoms for the past couple of years and only recently received a confirmed diagnosis as symptoms worsened.
"I intend to fight the disease with same intensity and tenacity that I drum and live my life by and will continue recording and performing, as always, to the best of my ability."
They uploaded the ten-track release Sleepify and asked fans to keep it on repeat while they slept, in order to fund their upcoming tour. In return, tickets to every show would be free.
They managed to raise $19,655.56 from over 5.5million playbacks, with each track generating around three-tenths of a cent per play. They also became entitled to a copyright payment of around $1100.

And he says his bandmates, friends and family wanted to "kill" him before he spent a month in rehab. The experience served as inspiration for BMTH's fourth record, which won them Album of the Year gong at the Alternative Press Music Awards in Cleveland, Ohio on Monday.
Sykes said during his acceptance speech: "I want to say something that I never thought I'd talk about - before we wrote Sempiternal I was a f***ing drug addict.
"I was addicted to a drug called ketamine. I was on it for years and I was f***ed off my head. My band wanted to kill me, my parents wanted to kill me and my brother wanted to kill me. Everyone wanted to f***ing take me to hell - but they didn't. They stood by me. They supported me through all that sh*t and we wrote Sempiternal because of it."

In a recent interview, Nicks decided to revisit the previously lost songs after checking out the bootlegs on YouTube. "We went onto YouTube and we found all the songs that, somehow, were taken from my house or picked up or loaned out or whatever and we went to Nashville (and recorded them)," Nicks said. "So they're like all starting from like 1969 maybe? I call them my 24 karat gold songs."
Nicks has a surprise in store for vinyl fans, who will be able to grab a copy of a limited edition double LP on Sept. 29. "Each song is a lifetime. Each song has a soul. Each song has a purpose. Each song is a love story," Nicks said in a statement. "They represent my life behind the scenes, the secrets, the broken hearts, the broken hearted and the survivors. These songs are the memories - the 24 karat gold rings in the blue box. These songs are for you."

Get Into Real (feat. Joseph Williams and Simon Phillips) - As an author and producer I am particularly fond of this piece as it carries a substantial part of the charge of this album. It echoes in track 7 (Things We Can't Do) in the final track 13 (Conclusion) and it is a natural continuance of the title song (My Kind O' Lovin').
When I invited Simon and Joseph to be a part of this next charity project of mine (My Kind O' Lovin') I wrote to them it comes from Intelligent Music. This underlines my eternal intention to focus on essential values to be the solid ground to step on to having a meaningful life.
This song triggers vivid emotions and it's a good start to feel the all-star concept of this album, to feel the synergy between strong melodies, fabulous drumming of Simon and impressive vocals of Joseph And of course it features great lead guitar licks, to put it in strict hard rock-prog-blues terms
When we recorded the song at Simon's studio in LA I learned two things: what the meaning of full creative input is, and that Simon makes the best British style tea! Joe did great vocals in no time, Si did perfect drumming and percussions, as always, and John Lawton added some backing vox afterwards in my studio in Sofia. Great ensemble - so suitable for sustainable messages to the audience!
It is impossible to comprehend the meaning of life without transforming ourselves in that same energy which has created us - the energy of love. The searching for love and affection is a part of us all as it triggers the energy of attraction and the spirit of cooperation. A lot of people simply never receive love, which they are otherwise subconsciously searching for. Lack of love leads to loss of all God's blessings - sense of beauty, harmony, creativeness and compassion But even if you have them to give meaning and joy to life passion is to be added! Hence - to grasp the meaning and sense of life, everything should be done with joy and clear conscience that it is in the name of othersWhen serving others you find that serving is joy. That is why the refrain calls for striving towards something significant which also makes you shiver from happiness.
It's worth trying In this reference the question from Middle Part comes along: isn't there a better place in your mind? I truly believe that deep down in us there is a field of unlimited possibilities, a higher mind realm. There the mysteries disappear and our mission in life clearly stands out. So get ready and be open to see things in a better way through the prism of passion in your life.
Do you copy the message of your soul? Get Into Real
Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album
