Vornagar - The Bleeding Holocaust Review American Melodic Death metal has found its savior. Mixing together that European sound we've known and loved for oh so many years with the classic metal feel invented here in the states, Vornagar has unleashed one of the best albums I have ever heard. From start to finish The Bleeding Holocaust doesn't let up. From the opening track "Charge of the Dark Gods" to the final track "Defiling the Sepulcher of Christ", The Bleeding Holocaust is a tunnel of intelligent music and lyrics. Creating a form of progressive death metal. When I first got a hold of The Bleeding Holocaust I had already heard one of the songs after watching a video of the recording process, I had expected a decent album with great drumming. I had no idea what I was in store for. The second track on the album Hyperion is mind boggling. Intense vocals combined with some of the fastest drumming and creative guitar riffs you'll ever hear. Once I finally obtained the lyrics it made the song completely whole for me. Other highlights on The Bleeding Holocaust include: "Charge Of The Dark Gods", "The Gunslinger", and "Ballad For A Dying Race". All of these combines each member's strengths and never gets to crowded. These kids really have what it takes to be legendary. Now while the album is simply amazing, it's by no means perfect. The quality of which the album was made can be annoying as there are parts where the only thing you can hear are the drums, at times it sounded like the guitar parts where non existent. I could also not hear any of what the bass player was playing which made it seem like he just wasn't important. Now we've all heard of overplaying but there on times on The Bleeding Holocaust where I feel they are underplaying. There are certain points where the same formula is used over and over, but they still mix it up enough so that someone who hasn't heard the whole album won't notice. But none of these take away from what I'm calling as album of the year. Front to back left to right it's an amazing disc. Note: Click the official site link below to download the entire CD
