Saturday Night Live’s only ever YM cover-friendly
player completed the cycle of his fame with the recent release of his first
comedy album. The Bathroom Wall is a combination of musical numbers recorded
in the studio and comedy bits recorded at a live college performance.
This album could have been a disaster if
Fallon had chosen to record an extended version of his early Weird Al-lite
SNL parodies. Instead, he opted to write five original pieces which run
the gamut from country (“Drinking in the Woods”), to CBGB style punk (“Road
Rage”). “(I Can’t Play) Basketball)” pretends to be the long-lost fourteenth
track to License to Ill, while “Idiot Boyfriend” hits a Prince-ian falsetto
not heard since Beck’s “Debra.”
And then there’s the stand-up, where Fallon’s
obsession with Troll Dolls and celebrity impressions gets carried away
on two separate tracks. Let it be said that while many of Fallon’s impressions,
i.e. John Travolta, Nicholas Cage, and Michael Stipe, are disposable, his
impressions of Robin Williams, Dave Matthews, and Jerry Seinfeld are priceless.
As for the rest of the album, it’s mostly
a series of college life jokes, including bits about tiny ice cube trays,
loofa sponges, and the Walk of Shame, saved only by a bit called “Chris
Rock was my R.A.”
VERDICT: Fallon is funny, and as long as
you went to college, then half the album isn’t lost on you. The original
songs are amazingly well-done, though none can match the come-on lines
of “Idiot Boyfriend”: “We’ll put on some great DVD’s I picked up. How about,
like, something like The Matrix?” That’s hot.

I think that the album is awesome. I recieved it as a christmas gift when i was in 9th grade right when it came out for sale. It was my favorite christmas gift of that year. I cant listen to the cd anymore because i listened to it so much that it skips terribly! I think that i need to get a new one!

I am happy to say that I am a huge SNL fan and I have watched for years and years now. Even as a kid I would watch with my father. But on November 1 2004 something great happened. I met Jimmy Fallon on the set of "Fever Pitch" at Fenway Park in Boston. Can I just say that Jimmy was so nice and laid back considering how cold it was that night. He didnt mind taking pictures with people or signing autographs one bit! He is much taller in person and very handsome which i told him. Ive been a huge fan of Jimmy's for a long time and i just cant explain what it was like to meet him. I got to take a picture with him and he signed my husband's red sox hat. Besides that i got to walk all around fenway! The pitchers mound and everything! I am so happy and lucky that this happened to me and I cant wait to meet Jimmy again!

Today I have a topic I am an expert on: how much Jimmy Fallon sucks. Who decided this guy was funny? They sure didn't ask me. Now, we all know SNL has sucked for years now, and I blame it on Jimmy Fallon. Even the seasons before he was around. His suckitude is so great that it transcends time and space.Now, to be a comedian, you have to be funny. Jimmy Fallon seems to think that being a comedian consists of mugging to the camera every second he is on it. And he's just got this smarmy, awful smile that just screams "I'm funny, really! Look at me!" He did the Weekend Update too. He tried, anyway. Not to say any of the jokes are good to begin with, but any that had a chance at a chuckle are butchered by his awful delivery. He cracks up laughing all the time at his own jokes. That is the worst thing you can possibly do when you tell jokes for a living. In fact, he does it in all the sketches he is in too. I don't see why he cracks up, either, the writers on that show suck. And he seems to think he is the next Adam Sandler and sings some awful songs (at least a few of Sandler's were funny). I heard one on the radio, and needless to say, I would rather listen to Hey Ya! on a two hour loop. This is not a complement to Hey Ya! either. I hate that song with the burning fury of a thousand suns. In conclusion, up yours, Jimmy Fallon. I hope you die.

Jimmy Fallon is a complete jerk. He sucker-punched a friend of mine in the head in a Manhattan bar. He was also doing a lot of coke that night. He doesn't deserve to be on television or in any of the crapy movies he makes! He is filming a movie about a Red Sox fan and he is a Yankees fan. What a loser!

Jimmy Fallon sucks, here's why: He's indicative of the worst SNL is currently offering. Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sanz can't get through two straight lines before they giggle their way off into their own little world. I think that Jimmy Fallon is the sexiest and cutest creature that the generous and great God ever put on the earth, which was made beautiful by Jimmy. I am pretty sure that if I ever see Jimmy Fallon, I would rape him. I am sorry if that is frightening, but it would just be, like, an impulse, not a sex crime. Really, I think I am becoming obsessd. I seriously and literally think about him, and his name comes out of my mouth sometimes when I don't even mean to say it. Oh well. The album is great. SnowBall and RoadRage are the sexiest songs ever. The way he doesn't really say his Ts it just like, "oh,I would say every letter of the alphabet that I need to if I wasn't otherwise occupied by this group of hot girls licking my body".

This was the first cd that I actually got my money's worth!! But I agree about the college jokes. If he had put the squirt gun joke on there, it would have been better. I don't like that sometimes he makes his comedy towards one group of people only, not everyone is in college!! But I still love him. It takes a true fan to truly speak out when they find something they don't like from the person they love. James Thomas Fallon Rules!!!

I think Jimmy Fallon is a hilarious comedian and I think "The Bathroom Wall" was just an expirment that went really well. I do however hope that he remains at SNL from many years to come!!
