okay. i myself am a female linkin park fan and, like many male fans, am also getting a bit tired of a lot of the LP fans being love-crazed teenyboppers for Chester or Mike or Joe or whoever. but i wanna point out that that's just what they're into, who cares, let them listen to Chester however they want. but i agree that they shouldn't go around posting how Mike is THEIRS and how hot they are. it's overwhelming and i can understand how it would make some guys feel jealous! sure i have to say from a girl's persective, they are good looking, but i like them best for their TALENT. and really, i think these girls are mostly taken by what they do, how they sing and how they play, but still have the urge to post all over the place that they are "HOT" to somehow vent the obsession. With girls, it's not always about how he looks, it's about how he's singing in your ear. i'm just telling you from a girl's point of view. it really is a shame how it's gotten out of hand. the way some girls post, you'd think linkin park was a boy band. but let me remind you that we are only the fans, we're not them; how girls react is not them. linkin park is different, self-made from real talent, not professional hands. sure there was that don guy who helped them sew it up at the very end. but it was those guys of LP themselves that carried it. true, it was better at the start when LP was underground. but i do think these guys have done a good job in not letting the media ruin it. if you don't like how some of the fans are acting like teenyboppers, just ignore it. remember it's all about the music, the talent. dee, 17, vancouver can

I remember back when Linkin Park REALLY was an underground band just coming out. Now it sucks because their image is being ruined by a bunch of little girls thinking that chester is "hot", etc. I'm getting really tired of it. I like hardcore and metal music in all its debated forms. Linkin Park has a somewhat original style, mainly the programming which is really interesting, but they aren't very good musicians, they can't sing, and they can't write lyrics. THEY AREN'T METAL or HARDCORE though. They're rock. Another thing that upsets me is that original bands like Staind and Korn are wearing clothing by companies like Puma and Pony and getting money for it. It's very uncool. I hate teenyboppers. I don't particurlarly like any of those aforementioned bands anymore. Nothingface rules.

Oh my gosh I just went to the Linkin Park concert last Friday and it was freaking awesome. Even though moshing and crowd surfing wasn't allowed people did it anyway. I think no matter who you see liking your favorite band, Linkin Park, Tool, Staind, etc. it shouldn't change how you feel about them. I like Linkin Park because from the first time hearing them it all just clicked. Rock will never be what it once was but we shouldn't label bands sale outs because little girls like them. It is all about the music not how they look. And I hope Linkin Park and all the other bands like Tool and Staind continue putting out music despite any negative input from people who know nothing about good rock!!!

The fact that bands like Linkin Park, Slipknot, Crazytown, Deftones, whatever, are even mentioned, let alone being allowed to play at a show named after one of the greatest rockers of all time, is an insult to rock itself. Don't call it rock. Don't call it metal. It's not metal. It's crap. I'm sorry to see that a lot of other bands have gone that way in recent times, but that's the way music is being shaped.
