ive seen trauma concept at the gwar-b-que they rocked my socks off! i was suprised to see them on the show-i thought they were already signed? I guess it doesnt matter- they got kicked off 1st. They are the real deal- i dont know how anyone can say they suck- they sound like shadows fall and fear factory put in a blender- get a clue people, there are some really good metal bands(and some bad too) but dont put them all in the same catogory!

ZaKK is just an awesome guitar player and Black Label Society has its own fan base,by its self.Dont get me wrong,Ozzy is awesome and he brought ZaKK to the scene,but... I enjoy the show overall and I feel that all of the bands have talent but I feel that the focus of the show is off. It seems that rather than focusing most of the show on the talent of the musicians and their music, its more so focused on the petty drama that goes on outside the competition such as the police interrogation, etc.

I do agree that the bands on Battle for Ozzfest suck (In my opinion) I do think that Kelly is funny how ever, But the bands being no good is not a surprise the current state of music is very poor there hasn't been a good music explosion since the early nintys, great bands have now been replaced by Sh*t. metal is not what it once was (Where have the sounds of great metal such as Slayer and S.O.D gone?) Punk rock is now a combantion of pop and Crap, what happened to bands like Black Flag, The Stooges and Circle Jerks? I'm waiting for the next great music explosion to come along and anhialte the current music "scene" It will happen again. Black Sabbath and Led Zepplin helped save the world from 60's crap and the Sex Pistols and The Stooges put over produced bands like Boston in there place, as well as NIRVANA ridding the world of Hair/Glam in the early ninties

I love The Battle for Ozzfest, i think that it is very amusing, and i love to watch what happens each epesode, but i do think the hole inpersonating other band membrers and disrespecting them is stupid of those three boys to do . they are not taking this oportunity seriusly, witch is kinda a bummer cuz there is alot of people that would love that oportunity and to see them play around with it like that is stuppid.

Sorry we can't take anyone that uses the term "hater" seriously. You see the problem with this show and Sharon is they are reaching for the mallcore-boppers. What's a mallcore bopper? It's the kids that were teenyboppers a couple years ago, turned 13 and discovered KeWl lIKe mEtAl. They want a little guitar in their music but they still like bands cuz tHey aRe lIkE tOtaLly hOt! There are emo-boppers (too many), punk-boppers, hip-hop-boppers too. They may grow out of it and begin to appreciate music for music sake but a sad testiment against this is hair-boppers. The 35-year-old women that love hairmetal from when they were 14 and still act and talk like 14-year-olds. You know the type, you're just jealous and my favorite "let's see you make all this money!" Honey it aint about the money, or who is totally hot, it should be about the music. Too bad these slightly older teenyboppers still have daddy's goldcard and keep these crap bands in business.

I'm into the show. I've watched it on a regular basis. My reason for this is, because Ryan from Cynder is amazing. His voice is great, and I've heard some of the bands stuff. I loved it, and the lyrics are really intense. CyNdEr ROCKS!!!

I think Battle for Ozzfest is funny. That's all. It's an amusing show about competing metalheads. Nothing wrong with that. All you purists need to learn that sometimes MTV and reality shows CAN be allright. Not to say they are allright. People just shouldn't dismiss something based on its affiliations. The only thing that really pisses me off about Battle for Ozzfest is that every band is a metalcore band. It's ridiculous. Whatever happened to GOOD metal with melodic vocals in the mainstream. Nowadays metal MOSTLY (don't bitch at me with exceptions, I already know them and I don't want to hear it) fits into three categories: 1. Mainstream, Good, Screaming vocals (Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, all the death metal bands on Headbanger's Ball) 2. Mainstream, Sh*tty, Melodic vocals (Pillar, etc. NuMetal sh*t.) 3. Good, Melodic Vocals, obscure European Power Metal band. It's so sad that Power Metal doesn't get the exposure it deserves. I sing for a band that has evolved from brutal death metal to classic-sounding metal with power metal and thrash elements over the course of a year. Change is possible.

I love this show! I love Ozzfest and all it stands for and I think at least 4 of these bands have any chance. My fave is Cynder not only because Ryan is a hottie, but because I love that voice he's got, and his heavy-metal scream! Go Cynder!!!

I have watched all of the episodes so far, they are amusing at least. I do think that most of the bands on there sound the same though. What happened to giving time to good thrash bands like Exodus, Overkill, Anthrax, and Testament. I know there are bands out there that are playing that kind of music, and there is a market for it. Hell Shadows Fall and Lamb of God are doing pretty good. Why not put in some black metal at least, now that would be interesting to me. Oh yea that is not commercially acceptable, except for Cradle of Filth which I like, for all of the haters of COF put in their older stuff it will never be played on the radio or tv. Put a band in there that plays stuff like Emperor. Maybe put a band in the mix that has a Maiden or Priest sound. I know the other stuff is popular, just watch Headbangers Ball most of the stuff they are playing on there sounds like the bands that were picked for this show. I like that kind of music, but give us a little variety.

Well, just for the hell of it, I thought I'd watch the latest episode of Battle for Sharonfest, uh, I mean Ozzfest. The main challenge for the bands on the episode was that they had 24 hours to write their own orginal acoustic song and then each band perform their new song in front of Rob Halford of Judas Priest. Okay, a couple of the bands had some pretty decent material, but the others had off-key vocals, out-of-tune guitars, and just plain sounded like sh*t. Then, later on, Sharon Osbourne stated that "this isn't f**king 'Survivor'". Well, it sure seems like 'Survivor' to me, with elimination rounds and high-school drama. Jesus, what's the music world coming to? I'll bet Randy Rhoads, Cliff Burton, Bon Scott and Layne Staley are all spinning in their graves right now.

I attended the Dallas stop of OZZfest this year and was treated (and I use the word treated lightly) to the stupid-ass bat biting segment in person...they brought out the whole bunch in masks and jumpsuits and made them bite the bat whilst the MC cajoled the crowd to chant "Bite the Bat" to little avail and all of this happening before the Slipknot set so that all of the maggots in the crowd were getting restless waiting for the KNOT...didn't quite understand what was going on at first - thought it was some local radio stunt - but now I do and I think it is even dumber now, how does that crap qualify you to play on OZZfest?

Unfortunately I have seen some of this show as well. The episode I watched had nothing to do with musical talent at all. I didnt even now what they were competing for until a friend told me. I watched some jerk go crazy because some guy was wearing this dudes leather vest and then they had to bite the heads off of bats because of it. Ozzy always complains about people only wanting to talk about him doing that but then he uses it to make money all the time. And to make it worse they give the contestants all these vaccinations before they bite the bats and then it turns out the bats are fake. I hate this show and the ozzfest has gone so down hill and towards nu-metal that I will probably never go.

yeah, this show needs to stop. i caught a glimpse of one episode the other day--bunch of hillbillys making bad music it seemed. just because you have tattoos, peircings, goofy hair and know how to strike "cool" nu-metal guitar player poses does not make you an artist of any importance. i, actually, would not advise them to keep their day jobs and quit music at all. I'd advise them to park their tour vans in a small, enclosed garage, let the engine run and just breath in the fumes until they...drift away..into the cold fog of permanate eternal fukking death.----perhaps, i'm being too harsh. at least they tried to share their songs. some respect is due them there. but not too much. they know not what they do. they know not how much monkey prick they blow(mike, big improvement!)
