"That's the truth. It's my last record," DMX told MTV. "I'm going into the church. I wanna take some time off -- you know, read my Bible and just get more into the word."
The rapper turned actor says that he will continue to run his record label but has higher priorities in his life at the moment.
"I got kids, and one of my children is at that stage where you have to be around, DMX told MTV. He's 8 months, and I don't wanna be a stranger to my children. That's more important to me than all this."
DMX is current working on his next feature film, Never Die Alone. His latest acting role was in the film "Cradle 2 the Grave" which hit theatres on February 28th. The rappers swan song album, if he sticks to his retirement plans, will most likely hit stores this summer.
