The franchise, which follows in the tradition of the adventure films of the 30�s, began in 1981 with the Steven Spielberg / George Lucas collaboration �Raiders of the Lost Ark�. That film was a smash hit and spawned the 1984 sequel �Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom�.
The final film in the trilogy, �Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade�, was released in 1989.
The DVDs will be issued in both widescreen
and fullscreen format. The boxset will also contain a fourth disc with
bonus material that includes four featurettes and a two-hour documentary
�Indiana Jones: The Making of a Trilogy.�
