Delays Mission For War of the Worlds

(antiTainment) Tom Cruise was set to begin
filming of "Mission: Impossible 3" next month, but the project has been
plagued with issues, including the exit of the director. The films production
has been pushed back, Cruise will instead team up with Steven Spielberg
for a new adaptation of War of the Worlds, according to reports.
Fans of the Mission: Impossible franchise,
need not worry as filming of the next installment should take place next
year and a new director has been hired on to take the helm, J.J. Abrams.
Television fans may recognize the name.
Abrams was the creator of Alias and Felicity and his next television
project Lost will be premier on ABC this fall.
M: I-3 will be Abrams feature length
directorial debut. Meanwhile, Cruise is enjoy success with his latest film
Collateral which topped the box office last week.
