Blake Murder Trial Pushed Back.

The judge in the Robert Blake murder trial
went along with a defense motion for a continuance on Friday. Blakes trial
was scheduled to begin on September 9th, but the actors new attorney asked
that it be delayed to give him time to work on the defense. The trial
is now set to begin in November.
Attorney M. Gerald Schwartzbach was hired
by Blake after the actor let his previous attorney, Thomas Mesereau Jr.,
go last February.
"I have looked at the case with different
eyes than people who preceded me and I'm pursuing things that have not
been pursued," Schwartzbach told the judge.
Blake is charged with the 2001 fatal shooting
of his wife, Bonny Lee Bakley, 44, as she sat in a car outside of Vitello's
Italian restaurant in Studio City, Ca. The shooting took place after the
couple had dined at the restaurant.
