(antiMUSIC) Rapper Ol’ Dirty Bastard , who
died Saturday of unknown causes after collapsing in a Manhattan recording
studio, will be laid to rest on Thursday (November 18) at the Christian
Cultural Centre in Brooklyn, New York. A private funeral ceremony
is planned for his family and friends, prior to a public service.
A wake was held for ODB, real name Russell
Jones, today (Nov 17) in Harlem where friends and family remembered the
35-year-old rapper as a "sweet, quiet kid," according to the Associated
Press.
ODB did not leave a will but his estate
is expected to be divided among his 7 children, barring any legal challenges.
The cause of death is not known at this
time, the initial autopsy results proved inclusive. Authorities are waiting
for the results of toxicology and other tests before determining an official
cause of a death.
