"B.Y.O.B." debuted in the Number One position at WXRK/K-ROCK in New York and also debuted in the Top 10 at stations in Tampa, Rochester, Las Vegas, Tucson, Norfolk, Phoenix, Austin, Orlando, Tulsa, Colorado Springs, Bakersfield, Richmond, Buffalo, Louisville, Columbus, Portland, Sacramento, Seattle, San Bernardino, San Diego, Minneapolis, St. Louis, New Orleans.
"B.Y.O.B." is the first single from System of a Down's 2-disc set, Mezmerize/Hypnotize." Disc One, "Mezmerize," will be released on May 17; Disc Two, "Hypnotize," will be released late this year. The set was produced by Rick Rubin and SOAD guitarist Daron Malakian, and follows the band's nearly 6-million-selling 2001 album, "Toxicity."
System of a Down shot the video for "B.Y.O.B." last weekend in Los Angeles; Jake Nava (Destiny's Child, Usher, Beyonce) directed. Expect it by the end of April.
System of a Down's benefit concert, "Souls 2005," set to take place in Los Angeles at the Universal Amphitheatre on Sunday, April 24, was sold out less than two minutes after the box office opened.
