Madison Paige Seek New Blood

(press release) MADISON PAIGE, who have made a name for themselves with their unique blend of arena rock influences and modern sensibilities, have officially parted ways with guitarist Damon Valley and bassist Will Arkosy. All parties are describing the split, which is being attributed to "musical differences," as "extremely amicable." Drummer Richie Rivera, who remains in the band along with singer Paul Caroul, elaborates:

"It's always tough saying goodbye, but luckily in our case we'll never have to. While our professional relationship has come to an end, we remain great friends, which is ultimately more important that any band could ever be. We're just traveling on two separate musical paths, neither one less valid than the other. Paul and I are throwing 110% of our support toward all their future musical endeavors, while we continue to make the kind of high-quality melodic hard rock that we originally set out to do. The end result will be that audiences will get two better bands out of the deal; so everybody wins!"

During the last few months of their tenure in the band, Valley and Arkosy had been working on a side project called SYDERA, which will now become their main priority. The band, which also includes former MADISON PAIGE touring keyboardist Jonathan Rheuben, is being described as "darker and more experimental." More information can be found at SYDERAMUSIC.COM.

Caroul and Rivera are extremely optimistic about the future of MADISON PAIGE and are currently auditioning new musicians as they record material for the follow up to the band's 2004 debut Famous Last Words. Songs tentatively set for inclusion are "Time And Time Again" (which the group played live at their last few shows), "Summer Rain," "Changing In Front Of Your Eyes," "Without The World," "Only Everything" and "What If I Said." The direction is said to be "more upbeat and escapist in subject" than Famous Last Words, with an emphasis on "hooks and having fun; this is the album we always wanted to make, but couldn't."

MADISON PAIGE was formed in 2001 and has become, according to Music Connection magazine, "L.A.'s newest melodic hard rock sensation," drawing comparisons to everyone from Bon Jovi to 3 Doors Down along the way. They released a self-produced debut album, Famous Last Words, which was financed entirely by advance orders from their die-hard fan base. Among other notable accomplishments, the band has been featured on Los Angeles radio powerhouse 95.5 KLOS FM as well as receiving airplay not only across America, but across the globe in France, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, and Norway, Brazil and Japan. They have headlined two Southern California festivals, appeared at the Metal Sludge Extravaganza 9, and their music has been used in the extreme sports program MotorDelux.
