(Fanscape) Both fans and critics are unanimous: Ozomatli is one of the best live bands touring today. "There are great live bands, but no oneฏnot Bruce Springsteen, Prince or the Rolling Stones-brings music to the people quite like Ozomatli," says the Sacramento Bee. "Their intensity and energy levels border on the shamanistic," agrees the L.A. Weekly. While Daily Variety declares, "Ozomatli does it effortlessly, throwing the kind of party most bands dream about while never undermining its all-encompassing spirit of unity." Now, for the first time in the band's 10-year history, Ozomatli is bringing the intensity, energy, and enthusiasm of their live show to a specially-priced CD and DVD companion package. The 10-track Live at the Fillmore CD, recorded at the historic San Francisco venue in late 2004, features incendiary live performances of such hits as "Saturday Night," "Believe," and "(Who Discovered) America" (all tracks from their GRAMMYฎ winning "Street Signs" album), as well as Ozomatli classics like "Cumbia De Los Muertos," and "Como Ves." The companion DVD of exclusive concert footage from the Fillmore date includes tracks not featured on the CD, "Esa Morena," "Street Signs," and "Dejame En Paz," among them. It is also loaded with bonus features, such as backstage footage, interviews with fans and band members, and a photo gallery. Live at the Fillmore is in stores August 23. Ozomatli is, without a doubt, one of the most sought-after bands working today. The ten-piece multi-cultural group continues to tour with Los Lonely Boys this summer (www.loslonelyboys.org). Ozo also performs in major cities throughout the United States through the end of the year, including stops in Los Angeles, New York, Dallas, Seattle, Detroit, Chicago, and San Diego.
