Madonna Hospitalized After Fall

(antiMUSIC) Madonna was hospitalized today for "serious" injuries after falling from a horse on her county estate in England. The pop singer was celebrating her 47th birthday by riding her new horse when she fell off the animal and suffered injuries including a broken collarbone, according to her publicist. Madonna's husband, Guy Ritchie, drove her to a near-by hospital where she was treated for a broken collarbone, three cracked ribs and broken bones in one hand. At press time, the material girl was expected to be released later tonight. Madonna's spokeswoman Barbara Charone explained, "Madonna fell off a new horse she was riding late this afternoon at Ashcombe House, her country house outside of London." The pop star, known for reinventing herself, had recently adopted the persona of regal English lady of the manor and taken up riding as a hobby. Vogue magazine featured a spread of the "new" Madonna with one shot including her sitting atop a horse. Perhaps, she'll rethink that make-over now.
