(antiMUSIC) The Michael Jackson child molestation
trial has been delayed a week by Santa Barbara County Superior Court Judge
Rodney S. Melville who called for the postponement of the proceedings due
to the death of the sister of Jackson's lead attorney, Thomas Meserau,
Jr.
Jury selection for the trial began last
week. Jury selection will resume on February 14th. The judge warned the
prospective jurors to avoid all news coverage about the trial.
In related news, Judge Melville granted
a request by members of the news media to view the questionnaires that
were filled out by prospective jurors. Melville said that he will release
the questionnaires, with sensitive information removed, sometime this week.
