Love was originally charged with assault with a deadly weapon, a felony. In April 2004, Love reportedly attacked a woman at her ex-boyfriend's house. During the encounter, Love is said to have thrown a liquor bottle at the 32-year-old woman, who was sleeping on a sofa. Love then reportedly chased the woman while holding a flashlight as a possible weapon.
Update: Later in the day Love entered a plea in Beverly Hills over drug related charges from her 2003 break-in at her former boyfriend's home. (see story)
Love agreed to a plea for a misdemeanor
count of possession of a forged prescription. Under the terms of the deal,
Love agreed to "deferred entry of judgment". If Love completes a drug treatment
program the entire case (including two felony possession charges) will
be dropped after 18 months.
