(antiMUSIC) Tod Salvador, better known as
Tripp Eisen of Static-X, was charged on Friday with aggravated sexual assault,
child endangerment and kidnapping. Salvador reportedly sexually assaulted
a 14-year-old New Jersey girl he met over the Internet.
Authorities have told the press that Salvador
met the girl online and told her that he liked to impersonate Tripp Eisen
of Static-X, the girl was reportedly a big fan of the band. They
began exchanging emails last October. In January, Salvador reportedly
went to New Jersey for a rendezvous with the girl. He allegedly drove
the underage girl to a shopping center parking lot, parked the truck he
was driving and had sex with her.
According to press accounts, Police are
currently investigating whether Salvador had made similar contact with
other girls online.
Salvador, a Burbank native, is facing similar
troubles closer to home. He also was arrested on February 10th by the Orange
County Sheriff Department after he was reportedly found sleeping in a parked
car with underage girl. Sheriffs charged him with a felony count
of committing a lewd act with a child and he was released on $100,000 bail.
Salvador joined Static-X in 2001.
At press time the band has not issued a statement about Salvador's arrest.
