In early 2004, GOD FORBID released the critically acclaimed Gone Forever album, which successfully bridged the gap between thrash, hardcore and traditional metal. They soon embarked on a few dates on the massive Jagermeister tour with Slipknot, Fear Factory and Chimaria leading them immediately into a highly successful nationwide U.S. run with Machine Head. However, the group's biggest break would come that summer on Ozzfest as their highly captivating and energetic performances quickly helped them garner a whole new devoted legion of fans. Whilst in the UK GOD FORBID made their mark with blistering performances on the NWOAHM tour with Killswitch Engage, Chimaira & Shadows Fall and returned earlier this year for a headlining tour with Extol.
Doc Coyle (guitars, vocals) describes his thoughts on their new material: "Musically, it's a more refined and complex version of the traditional GOD FORBID sound, but offers several new twists and turns to the fold. I really think everyone will be surprised when they hear the growth in the vocals overall."
IV:Constitution Of Treason is a huge step forward for the band in regards to songwriting as they clearly put more of an emphasis on developing the melodies and arrangements of each individual track, while the blistering guitar duo of Doc and Dallas Coyle delivers their most breathtaking performance yet. With four full-length releases and almost a decade of experience under their belts, the group now begins to show their true potential with this groundbreaking offering that will force the entire world to take notice.
IV:Constitution Of Treason is due to be released on Monday 19th September 2005
Details of an exclusive London show will be announced shortly
